Three words he knew he’d never grow tired of hearing her say. “So, scone again, I take it?”

She laughed. “How about a fruit salad?”

Roger grumbled. “So much for your father liking me.”

“True, but my mother will appreciate you even more, and I love you. What more can you want?”
