Still smiling she said, “I highly doubt we’re ever going to make anything that equals what she does, but I don’t care. It was so much fun anyway.”

“I agree.” I didn’t want to spend too long in front of the shop. The night was still young, and I wanted to enjoy every moment of it with Lindsay. “Ready to head back to Boston?”

Lindsay asked, “I am, but do you think we can take the Jeep back instead?”

“Instead of the helicopter?” She nodded. “Why?”

“I was thinking we could take the scenic road back. Besides, Samantha is only going to meet Marcel at eleven.”

Point taken.

“Scenic road it is.”

“Oh, wait, this isn’t your Jeep, it’s Kenneth’s,” she said.

“I’m sure he’s too busy to even notice,” I replied.

“Maybe we should’ve stayed and offered to help clean up,” she said.

“I don’t think that’s what they’re doing,” I grinned. She blushed, and I added, “Eleven, you said?” She nodded. I was breaking my rules. I never brought anyone to my place. But Lindsay wasn’t just anyone. “How about we take the helicopter?”

“Want to get rid of me that fast?”

“Actually, I was thinking we could go to my place. Unless you really had your heart set on a slow drive back to Boston.”

“Are you trying to bribe me now?” Lindsay asked. I nodded. “Too bad the helicopter doesn’t have a privacy window. Shanda did say the more you practice blowing, the better it gets.”

Fuck.“We should’ve taken the limo.”
