I don’t, but that’s why I’m here. To fix this.

My last image was of her being angry at me. I wanted to see that smile again.

“It was just a misunderstanding,” I said.

“Then fix that with flowers. It always works with me.”

“Perfect. I will. But I believe I need her address for that as well,” I stated. There’s always a way around to get what I want.

“Clark, I’d give it, but I don’t have it. I know where she’s working tonight, if that helps.”

Even better. “Text it to me.”

“You got it. And by the way, she told me daisies are her favorite. You’re welcome,” she said sarcastically.

Heart men weren’t in the habit of saying thank you, and we weren’t offended if someone didn’t say it to us, either. Right now, Lizzy was an ally and that beat the hell out of the alternative.

“Thank you, Lizzy.” I hung up and placed a call to the local florist.

“I know you’re closing for the night, but whatever the cost I’ll triple it. This has to be delivered to her before eight tonight.”

She needs to know I’m sorry. Maybe then she’ll be compelled to have dinner with me.

“You’re positive you have the address correct?” they asked.

“Yes.” I had provided the information as Lizzy gave to me. I might have my issues with Lizzy, but she was detail orientated. The worst thing that could happen is Lizzy was wrong this time and PJ didn’t receive the bouquet.

Then I guess I’ll have to go to plan B. Shop for a gift.

“And you want to send the smiley face bouquet there?” they inquired.

My patience was growing thin. “I want it exactly as I instructed. Do you understand?” I barked.

“Yes, sir. It will be delivered as you requested.”

I wasn’t positive, but what woman didn’t like to show off beautiful flowers at work? Her coworkers were going to be jealous.

I’m sure she’ll want to see me after receiving those.

I was tempted to book a hotel room, but depending on her response to the flowers, I might not need one.
