"I guess Amerlee wants to make sure that Maela has enough friends to keep coming back. Wraythe doesn't think Ela should go."

"He should still be seen," I countered. "If we intend to use Maela as a counter to your brother, she needs to get used to his beauty. Just enough that he's not intimidating."

"But more of a wet dream," Talin said, showing he understood. "I'll tell them to walk us to the front and then plead off."

I was quickly doing math in my head. "This is going to be a big group, isn't it?"

"Uh, yeah," he agreed. "Jamik already scheduled a table across the street. Sounds like we're making a show of things for the baron's wife."

"She might as well be the baron," I grumbled as I made it into the bathroom.

"Heard that," Talin called back, but he was making his way into the other room.

I cleaned up quickly and took care of my business, then went back to find something to wear. Since this was a somewhat formal event, I needed to make a good impression, but there was no point in trying to look like anything but what I was. Still, the cold weather meant that showing too much skin was out.

So I picked a pair of tight leather pants and my comfortable heeled boots. That got paired with a loose purple shirt and an intricate corset that I loved. Nalph had made it both beautiful and functional. When I stepped in front of my mirror, I realized that I looked a lot like Amerlee.

"Wow," Wraythe breathed from the doorway. "Please turn around so I can appreciate the entire view?"

I turned my backside to him and then giggled. "Everything you hoped for?"

He reached down to adjust himself blatantly. "Yup. And to think, I came to see if you needed help."

My eyes slid down his body, hanging on the thick ridge in his pants. "I think you're the one in need right now."

"And you have a date, so put on that lipstick before I start begging you to wrap your mouth around me." With a smile he stepped back, just for Ela to slip around him.

"Nice," he said, heading for the closet. Then he pulled out a black shirt. "This one, Talin!"

I caught Wraythe's eye and wagged a finger between Ela and the door. "They're sharing clothes now?"

"Making an impression," Wraythe corrected. "Evidently Talin's black isn't fancy enough."

"It's utilitarian," Ela told me. "Since he's adamant that he'll wear nothing but black while working, then he should wear the nicest looking black we have."

I'd just sat down to start painting my face when Talin came in carrying his shirt in his hand. "It'll never fit."

"It'll fit," Ela promised.

I watched in the mirror as my guardian put on Ela's shirt and then began to button it up. Eladehl just went back to his closet for something else, but he was right. The shirt fit - very, verywell. Talin's chest looked twice as broad in that, and the fabric was almost liquid, showing off every muscle he owned.

"Fucking nice," Wraythe said, sounding just like he had when he'd seen me.

Talin flashed the big guy a smile. "Are you sure you're straight?"

"Zeal says so," Wraythe assured him. "I just know that I'd love to look like that instead of a tree."

"Mountain," Ela called from the closet. "You're too big to be a tree. Trust me, it works for you."

"It does," I assured him.

HIs green eyes found mine in the reflection. "Just gotta make sure you don't forget me."

"The ten-inch dick does a good job of that," Talin assured him. "I mean,I'ma little scared of that thing, and I'm not scared of much."

"Pretty sure it's never going in your ass," Wraythe grumbled.

"But not positive," Talin teased as he worked his belt through the loops. "What are you looking for, Ela?"
