The moment all of us were in the room, Anver gestured proudly. "There is a light in the toilet area with its own control just inside the new door. The light here has the knob there." And he pointed. "Over here, however, is your real present."

"Where doesthatlead?" Ela asked, seeing the archway.

Anver explained, leading us into the new area, "Obligation wanted to show their appreciation. Drandir said that we - and I got included in that - tip more than most. We treat them with respect, like peers instead of servants. Most of all, you are their hero, Nari. So, the old bedroom is now the dressing room, and this..." He gestured to a space that was filled with a bed similar to what we'd had in Sandrest. "Is their tithe to Zeal's Priests of Temptation."

The beds didn't have the massive posts like the ones in Talin's childhood room. They also weren't quite as big, but that monstrosity would definitely hold six. The blankets on top had been sewn together, but in a way that made the pattern look intentional instead of haphazard. Never mind the multitude of pillows!

The whole thing was amazing. I couldn't believe it was ours! Something like this would cost more than even Talin could tithe, and yet they'd just made it happen? Never mind that they'd accomplished so much in two weeks. With wide eyes, I looked around, trying to take it all in.

"That's actually two beds," Anver explained. "While all of you were gone, Obligation had me make a few decisions. Evidently the priests who used to live on this side moved up into Word last year. That's why you've never met your neighbors. This place was empty, so Obligation decided to make it into a massive suite for Nari. It's no longer listed as an available room, Drandir explained." Then Anver pointed to a door in the far corner. "That leads to the old living room. There's another door off the kitchen on your side. The one that used to be the cleaning closet you never used? They converted it to a pass through from your living area into the other one. They thought we might be able to make something of that space, like a study room. It's empty, and we'll need to get our own furniture, but we now have space."

"We," Talin said, stepping in to hug Anver. "Does that mean you're moving in?"

"Officially, no," Anver said. "Unofficially, yes. I plan to bring all of my things here, if you're all ok with that?"

"Perfectly," I said. "I just can't believe they did this!"

Ela huffed as if at a loss for words. "This is a lot. We need the space, but how? There's no way they made this happen so fast."

"There were about thirty priests in here during their free time," Anver explained.

"We do not give these guys nearly enough credit," Wraythe mumbled as he looked back into what was now the dressing area. "This is exactly what we needed. Shit. I'm gonna have to tithe a lot more now."

Talin laughed. "Yeah. I think they've more than earned it. If there was anything that could make today a little better, this was it. All of this. Move in, Anver - and kiss me, because I really need something gentle right now."

Anver didn't hesitate. He caught the side of Talin's neck and stepped in, kissing him sweetly - and passionately. What started soft and a little timid quickly grew. Talin relaxed, wrapping his arm around Anver's neck, and their mouths moved.

"Well, that should keep Talin busy," Wraythe said. "Ela, you're covered in blood and shit. Shower. Nari, you're with him."

Anver laughed, breaking his kiss with Talin. "The other shower works too." He pointed at the far wall in the new bedroom.

"All yours, Wraythe," Talin said, pulling Anver a little closer. "I really need to be distracted."

"I think I can help with that," Anver said before kissing him again.

And the humming in my bond finally began to grow quiet. We were going to be ok. No matter what, we'd make sure of that, so long as we stayed true to each other.
