“I hear you.”

“Does your new toy know that you used to fuck me?” Elena asked, disrupting our moment. I blinked at her in surprise. “Me and my entire team.”

She gestured towards a group of girls huddled in the far corner. They all stared at our group with varying degrees of jealousy and hatred. Yup. The boys were apparently real winners in the female department.

“At the same time?” I whispered in Ronan’s ear. “Like a seven-some?”

Ronan snorted in laughter, and Elena turned her glare onto him.

“No,” Ronan whispered back, ignoring Elena. “Not like that.” He hesitated. “But yes, all of those girls were on the rotation at the same time.”

I frowned at the way he spoke so brashly about females, as if we were just commodities to go through.

“We don’t think of you like that,” he assured me, easily reading the tension in my body. “You’re our friend.”

“And Elena never was?” I found that hard to believe. Why would they pursue a relationship with someone if that person wasn’t a friend? Didn’t most relationships develop from a friendship?

Sighing, I glanced up from the crook of Ronan’s neck to meet Elena’s glare.

“Yes, I know all about your little nightly adventures with Tam, Declan, Ronan, and Ryder. This isn’t show-and-tell Elena. We don’t need to talk about our conquests. Now scuttle away and leave the guys alone.”

Elena sputtered, face turning red. I faced her resolutely. There were far worse storms than her. I had faced thousands of them. After a moment of heavy breathing, she smiled. It was a smile you would see on a demonic child, though I would never tell her that. Why make her feel self-conscious over her bitch smile? No, it was better for everyone involved if I mocked her silently.

“And Calax,” she said smugly. “You’re forgetting my nighttime adventures with him too.”
