Chapter 24

The morning sun beamed across Raze’s face, the perfect curve of his stubbled jawline, the dip of his throat, and his delicious muscles. He lay naked, the blanket covering him to his waist. The fabric stuck up like a tent over his rock-hard member… and damn, what a divine muscle. After three orgasms last night, I’d fallen asleep in Raze’s arms, spent and satisfied. But it was more than that. The way he’d taken his time to pleasure me, to kiss my neck until I giggled, and his possessive words won me over. But what did they mean? Was it a promise all bear shifter made to swoon a female? I was fooling myself if I thought I could have a life here… with them. No, this was a fantasy and as soon as the curse was broken, I’d go back to my life and they… theirs. A shooting pain hit my chest and I winced. Surely they’d get over me in a few weeks, but my heart would never truly recover fromthem.

With Talin stepping into the position of king, did that allow Raze the liberties of choosing a girl from a non-royal background? I adored Raze and his passion for anything he did. I kept thinking about him heading into the woods at night to help anyone in need. That was why he’d looked all hooded and brooding back in the tavern. It must be a normal escapade for him to be out and about, getting into brawls. And I’d be lucky to have any of the princes as mine. Ash with his sexiness that drove me insane, his caring nature, and his passion for learning—we could converse about herbs for weeks straight. Leven might have been cocky when I’d first him—though, admittedly, that roguish charm had swept me off my feet—but I’d seen the real man since, the man behind the bravado who wanted to settle down and have a family. Who loved hard and didn’t hold back. And Talin with his protective nature, caring for everyone, trying to pull the family together. Plus, he had that darker, dominant side to him that I couldn’t get enoughof.

How could anyone choose between the four princes? I’d take all of them if it were thateasy.

My pulsed raced. They were out of my league. Scarlet had fallen for three wolf shifters, and I still recalled how adoringly they looked at her, as if they’d jump into the pits of the underworld to save her if needed. Which reminded me, if I got out of this in one piece, I intended to grill Scarlet on her experience in the Den realm and ask for her permission to write a story aboutit.

But I didn’t want to engage in such thoughts. Not when it was a full moon tonight, and I stood to lose everything. So if I was delusional in letting myself believe they craved me for more than a night or two, then fuck it, I embraced them wantingme.

With pressure on my bladder, I inched out of bed in slow motion to avoid waking Raze. Each part of my body hurt from yesterday’s battle, but the ache between my legs came from Raze’s incredible attentiveness with his cock. Then again, Ash’s had also been big and delicious. And I adored the way he’d made love tome.

After a quick bathroom stop, my mouth grew parched and I eyed the cup of tea Raze had made me last night on the table near the couch. I drank it, even if it was cold. I dressed, figuring I’d check on the other men and make everyone breakfast. Considering the crap lying ahead of us, I wasn’t ready to let dread creep into my chest. At least not until I had a full stomach. Then, I’d speed-read every book in the library if I had to until I worked out how to break thecurse.

From the wardrobe, I selected a simple blue dress that reached my ankles and had long sleeves, cinched at the waist with a black belt. It reminded me of a few of my outfits at home, and it looked stunning even without layers underneath. I stepped into my boots and headed into thehallway.

Without another thought, I climbed to the third floor, hearingvoices.

Inside, three men sat in the cage, nude andchatting.

Ash was the first to twist around to see me and hesmiled.

“Finally,” Talin said, and they all got to their feet, waiting to bereleased.

“How are you all feeling?” I crossed the room, noticing the new bruises, cuts, and bite marks on Talin’s body. My heart bled at the memories of last night, how he’d hunted us and fought his cousin. Killed him. When he met my gaze, something shifted behind his eyes, an unspoken connection. Was he thinking about yesterday too? Had he told his brothers what hadhappened?

“Where’s the key to the cage?” Iasked.

Ash scratched his hair, making it stick upward. “On the back of the door. Hurry because I need to pee like no man’sbusiness.”

I retrieved the key and glanced at three sets of eyes. “Are you all okay, transformation-wise? No one has the urge to go furry orhunt?”

When no one said a word and simply glared my way, I rushed to unlock them. “Sorry, just had tocheck.”

“Everything hurts, even my toes,” Talin said as he marched out, “and I’ve turned purple from my bruises. But I’m not sensing any otherurges.”

“Speak for yourself,” Leventeased.

I caught his smirk andlaughed.

Ash left the cage next, his hairruffled.

“Morning, big boy.” Iwinked.

There were no words needed because he sailed an arm around my waist and forced me against him, his lips on mine. He kissed me so deeply passionately, I trembled beneath him. “I missed you,” he whispered, and a flinch of guilt filled me from sleeping with his brother. What if they weren’t okay withsharing?

Releasing me, he hurried out of the room behind Talin, and as Leven approached me, his expression fell serious. “Are you okay after yesterday? Talin told useverything.”

I nodded. “It was insane, and so muchhappened.”

Leven hooked an arm around my neck, smirking, and the sensation sent jolts of desire up my body. I reached for him, kissing him. His breath sped and his arms folded around me tightly and securely. I loved his tenderness. The way his tongue licked my lips, how he massaged my back, his fingers crawling down and over my ass. I mewled at his hunger, unable to fathom how four different men had me craving each one of them. Leven’s mouth sailed to my ear, and he sucked on the fleshyearlobe.

“Your kiss helps control my transformation, but I’m thinking we need some alone time to be sure.” He gripped his arms and wore his smug expression, then kissed me hard. My legs shook beneathme.

“I don’t know if it’s the effect of the curse bonding us, but I’ve been thinking about jumping your bones.” I giggled and rolled my eyes at how sweet and innocent my voice sounded. Hell, the truth was the complete opposite, considering I’d flirted with and kissed four shifters… and had sex already with two. From the moments I’d first met each one, I’d wanted to be with themall.

He smirked. “I’m yoursanytime.”
