“I'm still in a bit of shock about that myself.” Grace chuckles. “And just so you two don't find out after, like I did, monster pregnancies are one year instead of nine months.”

I whistle while Leah laughs. I haven't heard her laugh like that since before Grace got drafted. Looking towards Kayo, I know it's all thanks to him. He's looking at Leah right now, even though it's clear Warzo would rather have his attention.

“How much did Kayo tell you?” I ask Leah.

“Everything, I think. About being his mate, about this village, the draft, all of it. We had a lot of time to talk.”

I smirk and wiggle my brows. “Among other things.”

A blush spreads up her skin as she chuckles. “Same old Keri.”

I look back over towards the males, but only at Linc this time. “No. I feel brand new.”

“Same,” Grace and Leah say at the same time.

The males break apart and begin walking back to us. Only Warzo instead gets swarmed by a bunch of Grounders. I assume being the leader means that they think he has some type of answers now, but from the thoughts I hear drifting through Linc's mind, I know this is far from over.

“If I could steal my mate,” Linc says when he reaches us.

“Of course.” Leah smiles, walking into Kayo's arms.

“I have to feed Bazin, anyway,” Grace states. “But we're all getting together after to discuss—”

Linc shakes his head, and she stops talking, arching a brow.

“Keri and I aren't going anywhere but back to our cavern. We will see all of you tomorrow…maybe.”

I grin at him as he grabs me tight to him. Staring into his eyes, I let everything else fade away.

“Tomorrow and all of its problems will have to wait. Tonight is only for you and me.” He tells me.

“I like that. What else is only for you and I, my mate?”

“A future with our sons running around our cavern, getting into all kinds of trouble like their mother.”

I chuckle. “Your mother told me a story or two about you while I got ready, so I know you were just as much trouble. Go on.”

“Nights with me holding you close and making sure you feel forever safe and adored.”

“Always. I know I am always both of those things with you.”

He kisses my forehead. “And a love that will never end. Never dull. Never fade.”

“Linc.”

I look up at him through tear-filled eyes and he gives me a soft smile.

“I can't promise that I know what tomorrow brings, or that things will always be easy, but I can promise that you will always own every single part of me, far beyond death, and into a time and space that I don't know a thing about yet. But I know that I will still love you wherever I go.”

“What am I supposed to say after such beautiful words leave your mouth?”

He chuckles. “Just tell me you'll always be mine. It's all I want in this life.”

I bring my hands to his face. “I am yours, today, tomorrow, in death, in whatever life is after this, I am yours. Eternally. I am not me without you. I could not be who I am right this moment if I had never found you. My heart is wholly yours. My soul is at home in you. And since you hear my every thought, you already know that you are all I think about. You have consumed me, Linc.” I kiss him. “And I never, ever want you to let me go.”

He kisses me now, but deeper, and more passionate than when I brought my lips to his.

“Please, tell me we can leave now,” I breathlessly plead.
