I chuckled. “Sorry you got the bottom.”

“He likes the bottom.” Enzo chuckled.

“Dude. Not cool.” Jace cut his eyes, punching him in the leg.

I laughed. “So I was thinking we could go to Ruby’s today.”

“I’ll tell you, it’s always been a dream of mine to wake up with a girl laying next to me in bed asking to go to a whorehouse together.” Enzo said.

“Don’t say whorehouse… it sounds…” I scrunched my nose.

“Ok gentleman’s establishment.”

“That’s better.” I readjusted so I was resting my chin on my knees. “So, is that a yes?”

They laughed. “Let’s get some breakfast, then we can go.”

I squealed excitedly.

We were downstairs eating a few minutes later. I couldn’t help but notice the entire house was here, except Gage. I caught Garrison’s eye and raised my brows, but he shook his head.

So Gage didn’t come home last night.

Where could he have gone and what was he doing?

The way he looked… I don’t know… I had a feeling he was going to do something stupid. Whatever it was, I just hoped it didn’t get him killed.

“How are you feeling today?” Barrett walked over, grabbing my shoulders.

I rested the spoon and looked up at him. “I’m fine. We’re about to head to Ruby’s.”

Barrett raised his brows and looked at Enzo.

“I’m not a man to deny the woman’s wishes.” Enzo laughed.

“You’re welcome to join.” I offered to Barrett.

He looked off, pondering it for a little. “I think I’ll pass this time. Looks like you already have a full party.”

“Just Calix and I. Jace has to run to the market to pick up some things.” Enzo said.

Barrett looked at Jace and it was like they were communicating with their eyes.

“Ok. Well, please be careful.” Barrett warned.

“Always.” Enzo said, pushing away from the table, rocking on the hind legs of the chair.

Barrett looked at Calix. “Please.”

Calix chuckled. “We’ll be good.”

Enzo, Calix and I got to Ruby’s a little while later. When I walked in, I couldn’t help but look around for any sign that Gage was here or had been here. Some part of me had hoped when he didn’t come home last night, he came here.

“Scarlet, love!” Ruby shouted, throwing her arms out into the air.

I smiled, “Good day Ruby.”

“Why do you never greet me like that?” Enzo whined.
