“Oh.” I laughed and then ran over and wrapped my arms around his neck. “Thank you so much!”

He wrapped his arms around me and I was filled with so much happiness I felt like I could burst.

“Me next!” Enzo said, walking over.

Barrett released me, and I moved over to Enzo. He wrapped his muscular arms around me, pressing me to him, and spun me in a circle, causing me to squeal.

I pulled my head back and looked at his beautiful face and got a feeling in my stomach. He looked into my eyes and then quickly sat me down.

A couple of the others walked over to give me a hug, but my gaze kept moving back to Gage, who wasn’t moving.

“Let’s eat some dinner!” Barrett clapped his hands together.

“Please.” Gage said flatly, unamused by the joy.

I let all the boys take their seat first while I brought the drinks and food to the table. I took the last seat at the end, opposite Gage and sat there looking at everyone, excited about what my new future held.

After dinner, Enzo and Barrett showed me to the attic, which was up five flights of stairs. It was larger than I expected, almost four times the size of my room at the castle. There was a mattress and bed frame in the corner, with boxes piled on top. I looked out the little round window on the center of the back wall and saw a beautiful full moon shining through.

Enzo and Barrett helped me move the boxes off the bed onto the other side of the room, stacking them high.

“We will go through these tomorrow.” Barrett said again.

“This is perfect. Thank you so much. Really. Thank you.”

“Thank Enzo.”

I looked at Enzo and felt a flush move through me. “Thank you.”

He pinched his lips together. “You’re welcome.”

Jace walked into the room. “Here’s a set of sheets and a blanket for you.”

I grabbed them from him while Enzo was moving the last box.

Jace walked around to the other side of the bed and pushed it away from the wall and helped me tuck the sheets under and then lay the blanket on.

“I say we celebrate now!” Enzo said, jumping up and swinging from the rafter, his muscles flexing under this weight.

“Sure.”

“That does sound like a good idea, Enzo.” Barrett approved.

“We have a fire pit out back we haven’t used in a while.” Jace offered.

“Good idea. Let’s fire it up! It’s getting cooler out and seems like it would be a good night!”

Enzo raced down the stairs. “Fire pit tonight!”

I heard Calix yell, “Bosom Berries!”

I looked at Barrett again, my laugh turning to a smile. “Thank you again. I know I have already said it… a lot, but I will say it more. I really can’t express how grateful I am to you all.”

“Just don’t cause trouble and we’ll be good.”

“You won’t even know I’m here.”

“That would be impossible to do.”
