“How was he able to take it?” Avi questioned. “I don’t get it.”
“He’s not just taking her magic,” the healer corrected. “He’s taking their life, their energy, their species.”
“Shapeshifter,” Kane breathed out in shock. “This is how! He’s absorbing all of them until he can change at will into anyone or anything he wants.”
“Fuck,” Niko gasped. “How do we find that?!”
“We’ll find a way,” Niko vowed. “He isn’t going to be done until he has all four of us. That’s a temptation he won’t shy away from.”
