“Pet! Demon! Where are you?” he called out, feeling around the floor, his fingers touching chunks of hot drywall and bricks. It would be impossible to find such tiny creatures in here. “Pet! Demon! Make a sound if you can hear me!”

Only the crackle of the fire and the distant sound of sirens reached his ears.

Slowly, Damien got to his feet. He blinked through the smoke and dust. “Sky? If you’re here, try to wake up Pet. Tell her to make a sound so I can find her. Tell the demon, too.”

He didn’t know if Sky could hear him, but he hoped.

A moment passed and then, “Raarrrgh!”

He lunged toward the sound, moving wood chunks and plaster until his hands found soft fur.

“Demon!” He pulled her into him, knowing that she’d already been so weak when he’d found her in that cage. With any luck, she’d survive if he fed her quickly.

He stroked her back. “You’re safe. I’ve got you.” A lie. Because the air around them grew more toxic by the second. “Sky, where is Pet? Tell her to make a sound!”

No one answered.

“Fuck.” He tucked the demon tightly against him and hunched down. The kitchen was straight ahead. If he could find the sink, he’d find his way out since it was next to a window.

He slowly pushed through piles of two-by-fours, fallen brick, and flaming materials. His linen pants caught on fire.

Shit. Shit. Hot!He pushed and pushed, finally bursting through what was left of the kitchen.

Blue sky came into view, and clean, beautiful air filled his singed lungs.

I do not feel so good.Damien walked a few feet, away from the smoke, and dropped the demon. Then his flaming pants. So…dizzy…He lay down beside the furball and tucked her into his armpit. She was wheezing and unconscious.

“Keep breathing. Don’t give up. I have someone who wants to meet you.” He rubbed the tiny demon’s ears.

“What took you so long?” Pet hovered over him.

He lifted his head and then dropped it with a whoosh of air. “You got out.”

“Of course. I’m not stupid enough to die in there.”

Fucking fairies.

“Hey, you don’t look so good,” she said.

He did not feel so great either. This love-sucking demon was draining his body. “Tell Sky to stay with the demon so we can pick her up later. We cannot lose her.” Damien knew he was about to pass out, and the fire department was on the way. They’d take him to the hospital. When he finally came to, who knew where the she-demon might be?

“Sky says you’re being dramatic and to get up. You need to leave before the cops get here. There’s work to be done, and they’ll slow you down with all their questions.”

Sky was right, but he needed to sleep. “I can’t…keep…my eyes…ope…”

CHAPTER TWELVE

Damien stretched between the crisp white sheets of his king-size bed, feeling sore and tired, but oddly refreshed. A warm, soft hand rested across his bare chest.

“Mmmm…you feel nice, my love.” He felt his cock thickening. Maybe he’d spread her legs and kiss her down south. He always loved the sound of her voice when he took her with his mouth. Afterwards, he’d slide his hard cock deep inside her slick canal and fuck her just the way she liked. Pull all the way out, leaving just the tip hovering on her entrance, and then thrust deep. Just thinking about it made him want to come.

The soft hand on his chest floated down his stomach and wrapped itself around his cock.

“No, don’t do that. I want to…” His words evaporated from his lips, and the stroking began. Yes, he was going to come. Right here in the sheets. “Mmmm… Fuck, that feels good. Do not stop.”

“Never,” she whispered.

He pushed his head back into the pillow, the familiar erotic sensation building deep in his balls.Oh gods. Yeah. He moved his hips in time with the strokes and then…
