Maybe I’d be embarrassed if the need in me wasn’t mutual, but I knew that Eli wanted me as much as I wanted him. The best response—the only response—I had was to take his hand and let him lead me to the car.

Outside, he glared at his perfectly lovely car and pronounced, “I have ordered a larger car.”

“Why? It’s—”

“Not comfortable for sex.”

My answering laughter was not at his plans or even at the fact that my publicly reserved spouse was glaring at the car, but at the joy that I felt realizing that he was as impatient as I was.

“Hands to yourself, divinity.” He opened my door before walking around to the driver’s side.

When he slid into the car, I agreed, “For the moment. You’d need to restrain me to keep my hands off you once we are home.”

A glimmer in his eye made me draw a deep breath.

Never taunt a faery. It was dangerous. I knew that better than most people.

I was also a fan of danger. So I said, “I used vines to trap Iggy when we were fighting. And I was thinking . . .”

“Geneviève.” Eli took a shuddering breath. “I would like you to be silent while I drive.”

I laughed, but I bit my lip against taunting him again.

At the housea few minutes later, I practically dragged him inside our home. Until Eli, I’d never used thedraugrability to flow for anything other than a fight. I wasn’t as fast as the oldestdraugrI’d met, but it was close now. I could move between one spot and the next with a speed that made it look like I’d teleported.

For a moment, I moved away from him—only long enough to strip out of the clothes I’d worn when fighting. I wanted no scent of anything, including another man’s blood, on my skin. “I can shower too, if—"

“Hush.”

I watched Eli walk toward me, sighing at the predatory gleam in his eye. I refused to look away. Ilikedlooking at the desire announced clearly in his gaze.

“You’re still dressed,” I pointed out.

“Hush,” he repeated.

Before I could answer, vines had lashed out and encircled my wrists, ankles, and waist. He watched me, giving me a chance to object.

Instead, I tugged to see if there was any slack and declared, “Oh no, I appear trapped . . . I guess I’m just a helpless damsel.”

He grinned—and the vines lifted me, so I was practically levitating over him as if seated in an invisible chair. “Eli?”

He parted my knees, exposing me to his hungry gaze. Anyone else who had tried to maneuver me into a vulnerable position would have been lucky to be alive by now. Of course, no one else I’d been with had possessed the ability to use fae magic.

The vines tightened, keeping me exactly where I was even as my legs opened wider.

I could feel his breath, warm on my most sensitive parts, but he said nothing.

Without a word, he set out to show me that he craved me as much as I wanted him. He made me feel like I was the sexiest woman in either world. He was everything I wanted and needed, and he was worshippingmybody as if I was a feast.

Finally, his hands clenched on my inner thighs, holding me steady as he drove me higher and higher.

When I reached that blissful peak, he held me to his mouth and pushed me toward more.

“Eli. . . Yes. Please. Yes.Yesssss.” I could feel him smile as I cried out, and my body trembled with the intensity of multiple orgasms.

Still, he didn’t release me.

He looked up at me. My husband might claim that his needs were met by bringing me to joy, but that wasn’t enough for me today.
