“Forever and always,” I heard her whisper.

“Forever and always,” I repeated.

EPILOGUE

Teal

I’d been blissfully marriedfor two weeks.

The day couldn’t have been more perfect. It was spontaneous, fun-loving, sweet, and full of surprises that we shared with our close friends. Then there was the romantic, mind-blowing evening with my husband.

My husband.

I loved saying that.

Kace wasn’t just the perfect man, he was the perfect man forme. He showed me what love was, cherished me, spoiled me rotten, and knew me better than I knew myself.

“You ready to go, Little Momma?”

Pulling me from my beautiful thoughts, he walked into the bathroom and set Denver down on the floor, who was already in his car seat carrier. Then he watched me in the vanity mirror as he stood behind me, his hands going straight to my hips. He was always touching me and I never tired of it.

“I’m almost done, one second,” I said, answering him as I swiped some gloss across my lips.

We were headed over to Gyth and Summer’s house for a get-together they insisted we have, to celebrate our marriage. While everyone had been at our house to see us say our vows, that was about all it had been. For us that was enough, but they all insisted on throwing a small reception. At least they waited a few weeks until we got moved into our house. Which by the way, was truly amazing.

“Ready,” I said, turning around to face Kace, his arms still on my hips.

He pulled me forward so our bodies were flush together and claimed my mouth. I made a small whimpering sound when he broke our kiss.

“Baby, if we don’t get out of here now we will never make it.”

“I suppose a lot of people would notice us missing,” I told him.

Including his parents who had come in two days before and were staying at a nearby hotel. They were also coming to the party. It had been a little awkward at first, but that changed rather quickly. It was obvious they were loving parents who made a bad mistake and Kace was enjoying them back in his life.

I loved that for him.

And I’d finally spoken to my father, but I didn’t know if or when I would see him. Things were complicated and emotions were still high. Although, I had mentioned to Kace maybe it was what I needed so I could also finish moving forward. That was the last part keeping me stuck in the past.

“I’m pretty sure they would notice so you’re just going to have to wait until later to have your wicked way with me,” my husband teased.

“You’re full of yourself,” I said, reaching around and smacking his ass. “Now let's go.”

He let out a sexy, deep chuckle. Then picking up Denver, he snagged my hand and we headed out.

I was so damnhappy my heart was going to burst.

Standing with Kace’s arm wrapped around my waist, I looked around the backyard as the hot summer sun shined down on all the wonderful people in our lives. His parents were even having a good time and our friends had been so welcoming. His mother couldn’t get enough of Denver and watching her with him was sweet.

Gyth had the BBQ going, there were lawn games, kids ran in all directions and splashed in a kiddie pool having the time of their lives.

It was a good day.

I’d thought all the surprises and shocking moments were over until I heard a voice from behind me and my body froze at the familiar endearment. One I hadn’t heard in so damn long.

“Hey, Princess.”
