"You really don't have to do this," Alice said. "I feel absolutely awful. This is because of me, right? Because there's not enough space here."

"No. It's not just because of you, Alice." Foster shook has head. "It's something I've been thinking about ever since my parents said that Rosalie was going to come. Oliver and I have spoken about it, and we think it's a good decision.

"I know you girls want to get jobs, which we definitely think you need to do, but I don't want you to get something that's not the right fit for you. I want you both to find a career you're really going to love and enjoy. I don't want the stress of money to be the reason you take the position."

He looked at me. "I know I'm hard on you, and I know you feel lost and you're not sure what to do, but I'm here for you. I have been blessed, and I'm lucky enough that I make a lot of money in finance. And well, you're my little sister, my only sister. I want to do this for you. I want you to find a job that you're going to love, Rosalie."

"Foster, you're going to make me cry." I stared at my brother, my lips trembling. "Since when did you become so great?"

"I've always been great. You just haven't recognized it," he said, his eyes laughing at me.

"Maybe. Oliver, you don't have to do this. You're not even my brother or Alice's brother."

"Hey. We're all family here," he said. "We all grew up together. We got to look out for each other."

"Yeah," I said. "I will definitely repay you when I get my job. It might only be ten cents or ten dollars, but if you're lucky, it'll be a hundred."

"Yeah. Well, you don't owe us anything," Foster said. "We're going to start looking at places tomorrow. See what's on the market and figure out what we want. You guys are welcome to give some input."

"Oh my God. I love looking for houses. That would be amazing."

"Well, I didn't say you can choose the place," Foster said quickly. "I'm just saying we will look forward to your input."

"Okay. I get it," I said, smiling. "Oh my gosh. We need to party tonight. We need to celebrate."

"Well, we didn't get the place yet," Foster said.

"Yeah. We didn't get the place yet, but Alice is here. We're all together in New York City. We're all young. We're all single. We're all having fun." I paused. "Well, hopefully Amelia doesn't show up tonight."

Foster glared at me. "Really, Sis?"

"Who's Amelia?" Alice said, blinking, looking around confused.

"She's just my brother's crazy ex who doesn't know that they're exes."

"Really, Rosalie? After everything?"

"What? It's possible she could show up, right? Shouldn't everyone know who she is?"

He rolled his eyes, and Oliver chuckled.

"That is true, but it's maybe not the right time to have that conversation. Are you guys ready? Shall we hit the club?"

"I'm ready to get my dance on," I said. "Let's go."

We all headed to the door. Alice walked right behind Foster. I stayed behind with Oliver next to me.

"You really shouldn't have called out Amelia then and there. That was so cold of you, Rosalie," he said quietly.

"Look. I saw the way my brother was looking at Alice just now. I want Alice to know that just because Foster is giving her the eye, and might be attractive and rich, he is not the guy for her."

"He's your brother."

"Yeah. He's my brother. I know that he's a player. She's my best friend. The last thing I need is for her heart to get broken, and then she wants to move, and then I never see her again."

"Isn't that the situation with you and me and Foster?" he said, his eyes narrowing.

"Yeah, but we are mature enough to handle a breakup or whatever, the dissolution of our relationship, or whatever we have is."
