"Yeah?"

"There are going to be four of us in the apartment soon."

"What?" I stared at her in confusion. "What are you talking about?"

"I'm getting Alice a ticket tonight. She's going to move in with us." She bit down on her lower lip and gave me the most innocent look I'd seen in a long time. "Because if you say no, I might just have to tell Foster that you told me you want to ruin me."

“I what?” My jaw dropped as she gave me a sweet little smile. So she had heard me that night.

“We both know that when you said you’d ruin me, it had to do with little Oliver.” She nodded down toward my cock, and I groaned as I grabbed her hands and pulled her into me hard. I leaned down and whispered in her ear.

“Trust me, Rosalie Sloane. There’s nothing little about my cock. One fuck from me and you would be ruined for life.” She gasped as I moved back and gave her a charming smile. “And don’t forget, when you complain to Foster about me, remember to tell him about the fact that you want to be ruined by me in every way possible.” I winked at her as she blushed. “Now, let’s go and get that food.”

Chapter16

Rosalie

Itrailed Oliver as he made his way to Contour, the restaurant in the hotel. Oliver stopped suddenly and looked back at me.

“Are you going to sulk for the rest of the night?”

“Are you going to be a jerk for the rest of the night?”

He grabbed my hand and started laughing then. “A jerk would have told you that Alice can’t come and stay.”

“Wait, what?” I looked at him in surprise. “You’re okay with her coming?”

“Sure.” He nodded. “You’re like Batman and Robin. Can’t have one without the other. Just let me know when her flight arrives, and we can go pick her up.”

“You’d pick her up?” I chewed on my lower lip and pressed my arms to my side so I wouldn’t hug him.

“Well, you don’t have a car or money.” He shrugged nonchalantly.

“True, and I’m really going to have no money after paying for her flight.”

“Wait, what?” He frowned. “You’re paying for her flight?”

“Yup, her parents won’t help at all.” I sighed. “But she’ll pay me back as soon as she gets a job.”

“You can’t spend your last dollars on her ticket.” He shook his head.

“If I don’t, then she can’t come.” I looked down at the floor, knowing I sounded like a loser. I was going to hit the ground running first thing in the morning and look for a job. I didn’t care what it was. I just needed to do something before I figured out what I wanted to do in my life. I needed a paycheck coming in. My self-respect wouldn’t allow me to live off my brother and Oliver. No matter how badly I wanted to.

“Let me get the ticket—”

“No.” I was adamant in my response. I didn’t want Oliver to pay for Alice’s ticket. That was not his responsibility.

“I have miles.” He held his hand up. “Neither one of you would have to pay me back. I’m more than happy to use my miles to have your best friend come.”

“Are you sure?” I stared at him gratefully. This was such a generous gift, especially given our eventful evening.

“I’m sure.” He smiled at me warmly and held his hand out. “Can we start over as friends?”

“Sure.” I shook his hand, slightly disappointed at his words. I didn’t want to be just friends. “Friends, it is.”

“Great.” He looked at me for a couple of seconds and then froze when we both heard the familiar tinkle of Diana. “Oh no,” he mumbled under his breath as she approached.

“Oliver, there you are.” She hurried over and embraced him. I flinched as she pressed her lips against his. “Congratulations on the award. I’ve always known you were—”
