He sighed. "So and I guess I shouldn't be saying this, but seeing as you're my best friend and Rosalie's living with us now, I want you to understand that she might be a little bit moody from time to time because of this."

"Dude, just tell me. What is it?"

"So just now when we were in the living room and you made that comment about Rosalie dating and finding a boyfriend and all that, the reason I was like, 'whatever' was because I know it's not going to happen."

"Oh, sorry. You've got me confused. So you're okay with her finding a sugar daddy, or you're not?"

"Dude, of course not. I don't want my sister banging some random rich dude who's using her."

"Then why did you…?"

"She's not going to get a boyfriend here." He laughed.

"Why not? That's all she keeps talking about."

"Oh, she's just saying it. She has a boyfriend."

"What?" I said, staring at him in shock. "She has a boyfriend?"

"Yeah. That's what I was going to tell you. I guess he moved overseas for some grad program, and she got upset and said she's going to break up with him. And that's why she's here in New York."

"I thought she was here because your parents—"

"No, dude. I'm pretty sure that's an excuse. She's here because she and Graham—"

"Graham?" I said, raising an eyebrow.

"Yeah. She and Graham are on a break because she was pissed that he took the scholarship and fellowship to a school in, I believe it's Germany, as opposed to staying in the States."

"She has a boyfriend? What? I had no clue, dude."

"Yeah. Well, I just wanted to let you know. That's why she might be a little moody. Just ignore whatever she says and does. You know how women are when they're in bad relationships?"

"I guess so. Thanks for telling me."

"No worries, dude. And maybe at dinner, we can tell Rosalie about our plan to buy the brownstone?"

"Yeah, let's do that," I said, "but I've got to go send some emails now. Okay?"

"Sounds good, dude. You get back to work." He laughed. "You need to make as much money as possible so that we can both get some big bonuses this year to buy that place."

"Tell me about it." I laughed even though I was pissed as hell. Foster left my room, and I closed the door behind him. I was absolutely furious. Rosalie had a boyfriend. What the fuck? And she'd been begging me to fuck her. She wanted me to take her virginity, but why? Why didn't she just want her boyfriend to do it? Unless she was testing me and playing games with me. I could not believe Rosalie was dating someone. And she had the nerve to get upset about Diana when she hadn't told me about fucking Graham cracker. I pressed my lips together and grabbed my phone. I sent Rosalie a text message. "We need to talk." I was pissed.

She responded immediately, "About what?"

"Your brother just told me something very interesting," I said, typing quickly.

"What?" she responded.

"About someone you forgot to tell me about," I replied. No response came, and I sat there seething. I knew I could go into the living room and have a one-on-one conversation with her. But I didn't want Foster to overhear. Especially if I started raising my voice, so I sent another message. "So were you going to tell me about Graham cracker or not?"

She responded, "Oh."

"Oh? That's it?"

"It's a long story," she answered, "and it's not what you think."

"Really? You're not heartbroken over Graham? You weren't using me to get over him?"
