Her chest rises slowly, then falls when she exhales shakily.

“Good girl. Again. Feel your breath start to even out and your nerves start to calm. Everything is going to be fine. You’re okay. We’ve got you.” Once her breathing evens out, I pull back just enough to meet her gaze. “Okay?”

Her eyes flick between mine, and she hesitates before nodding. “You… glamoured me.” She blinks a few times as if it’s just hitting her now.

I offer a faint smile, tipping her chin up with my finger to look into her eyes. “You can yell at me later.”

“I won’t,” she says in a low voice, “not for that.”

I chuckle. “I’m sure you’ll find something.”

“I’m sure you’ll do something that warrants it,” she throws back.

“There’s our girl,” Lex chimes in from across the room.

I keep my eyes on Calla, nodding.

“Let’s just get this over with, please,” she says, wrapping her fingers around my wrist and pulling my hand away from her face. She pulls her hair over one shoulder, baring her neck to me.

“So you’d like me to do it?”

She freezes, her brows inching closer together. “I… Aren’t you?”

I drag my tongue over my bottom lip, my gums already throbbing with the urge to let my fangs extend and sink into her skin. “If there are no objections.” I look at the others, and they all nod in response. All the reasons I gave Calla for why I should be the one to turn her are things they already know. I didn’t expect any of them to be against it but figured it was best to ask one last time. My attention returns to Calla. “Is this what you want?”

She blows out a breath, swallowing hard before she nods. “Yes, I want you to do it.”

I grip her chin once more, forcing her to hold my gaze as my fangs break through my gums. “This is your last chance to change your mind, Calla.”

She shakes her head in my grasp despite the race of her pulse, her eyes stuck on my fangs. “I’ve made my choice, Atlas.”

“All right,” I finally say, dropping my hand to my side before I turn her around, pulling her back against my chest. I move her hair away from her neck, my fingers grazing her warm, soft skin. The monster in me beats against its cage, growling to be set free, to claim her with my venom and blood, but I keep it at bay.

Calla shivers against me, drawing in a slow breath, as the others stand and walk closer to us. I may be the one turning her, but she belongs to all of us—just as we all belong to her.

Kade laces his fingers through hers as I press my lips to her neck, brushing my lips across her skin softly before sinking my fangs into her. Her breath catches, and she whimpers as I close my eyes, drinking deeply. Her blood coats my tongue, exploding on my tastebuds.Fuck. I’ll never get enough of her.

I know the moment my venom reaches her bloodstream, because she moans softly, leaning into me fully. I hold her, my heart beating faster as I swallow mouthfuls of her blood.

A few moments later, it’s time for her to drink from me. I hold my wrist out, and Lex sinks his fangs in, opening my veins for her. I bring my wrist to her lips.

“Drink, angel,” Gabriel says in a calming voice.

Her lips close around Lex’s bite, her tongue sweeping across my skin as my blood pours into her mouth. She makes a faint noise of protest, but I hold my wrist firm against her lips. She wraps her fingers around my arm, and just when I think she’s going to attempt to pull it away, she grips it harder and drinks deeply.

I seal the marks on her neck and peer down at her, watching her feed from me. I smooth my hand along her hair, reveling in the sensation of having blood pulled from my veins by her. It’s a sight I wish to burn into my memory.

The moment she stops drinking to catch her breath, the wound seals itself, and she breathes a little sigh of something I’d like to mistake as annoyance. I enjoy Calla drinking from me.

Her pulse beats steadily as I hold her, pressing a soft kiss to the side of her head. “Okay?” I murmur.

“Yes,” she says in a voice so filled with strength, I know I’ll burn the entire fucking world to the ground to make sure she’s okay.

And then I snap Calla’s neck.

“She’s been out a while,” Kade says, peering at her still form on the couch. Concern is etched into his features. We’re all on edge, he’s just not trying to hide it.
