The cameras. The medics. The fight officials.

Aiden and Jon lift me up the few stairs and throw me into Bobby’s arms as soon as he appears. He lifts me high and presses sweaty kisses all over my face. His entire body is a sweaty mess. Slippery enough to make me nervous, but his strong hands won’t let me fall.

His face is swollen and sore, his right eye swollen completely shut. His nose is bent painfully, but he’s happy. His smile spreads across his whole face, despite the probably painful split lip.

“I love you so fucking much.” His words are a shout to compete with the noise of the crowd. “So much, baby.”

“I love you, too.” I brush sweat-soaked hair from his forehead and press my lips down. I’m not sure what hurts. I don’t know what I can touch. “You won. I’m so fucking proud of you.”

“Do you have anything you want to say?” A microphone is obnoxiously thrust into our faces. I undo my legs in an attempt to slide down, but Bobby holds me tight and shakes his head. “Anything you’d like to say, Champ?”

“Yeah, I’ve got shit to say.” Bobby’s eyes dance with fun. “I want to thank my brothers, my sisters, and my mama. I love you all very much.” His gaze comes back to mine. “And, I’d like to set the record straight; my girlfriend’s name is Catherine Kincaid.Kincaid. Not Reilly. She’s my wife. I’d like to thank her, too.” He takes the huge belt and tosses it over his shoulder, and with me still in his arms, he walks back to the gate, back to Aiden and Jon.

Jim and Iz wait behind the guys. Jack, Tink and Nell behind them. With a proud smile, he passes his belt to Jim, then carries me out of the cage and back to the tunnel.
