She pokes my ribs with a laugh. “You know exactly what we did. Izzy snitched, so I know you texted her all night.”

I shake my head. “Loyalty for twenty years, then a pretty girl comes along and she dumps me like old trash. Blood in, blood out… where’s the loyalty?”

“Hoes before bros, Bobby. It’s the way of life. She gets it.”

Twenty minutes after takeoff, our hostess walks down the aisle and delivers blankets and pillows. Getting comfortable, Kit and I lie back on the one chair and snuggle in. After a long ass twenty-four hours, we end it exactly where we should; her sweatpants covered leg on mine, her Rollin tank covered chest half covering mine, her long hair filling my senses.

Perfection.

“Will you tell me where we’re going yet?” she asks sleepily.

I look up from her hand as my fingers spin the rings on hers. “How do you not know?” I mumble against her hair. “Your ticket says exactly where we’re going.”

“You didn’t say I could look,” she says on a yawn. “I didn’t wanna spoil the surprise.”

“You can look, baby.”

“Tell me?” She pulls me tighter and saturates my chest with a yawn. “I’d rather listen to you tell me.”

“Okay, well, this flight will take us to Edinburgh.” Her head pops up in surprise. “Then in six days, we fly over to Dublin.”

“Really?” Her elbows dig into my ribs painfully. “I always wanted to go to Scotland and Ireland.”

“Mmhm. There’s more. We’ll be gone for four weeks. Do you want me to tell you the rest now? Or after Dublin?”

“More?” she squeaks with wide eyes. “Four weeks?”

“Uh-huh. And we can stay longer if you want… We can stay as long as you want. Neither of us has to rush back. Jack’s fine, he’ll be at the gym every day, and since it’s summer break, he’s not missing out on anything. My rematch announcement isn’t expected for a few more weeks, and even then, we don’t have to rush back. I’ll have months to prepare.”

Her eyes search mine. “Where are we going after Ireland?”

“London. Then Venice. Then–”

“Rome? You’re recreating my trip.”

I press a kiss to her lips. “I’m trying to.”

“I never told you about that.”

I roll my eyes. “Of course you didn’t. Luckily, I know people that know shit, and they helped me organize this.”

“So, Casey snitched?”

“Well. Yeah.” I laugh.

Her brows pull tight with emotion. “Have I told you today how much I love you?”

“You may have…” I press my lips to her forehead to straighten out those brows, then I push her head back down to rest on my chest. “But I’ll never tire of hearing it.”

“Hey, babe?”

“Hmm?”

She trails her fingertips over the ridges of my stomach. “How quiet do you think you can be?”

“Huh?”

Lifting her face, she grabs the lapels of my shirt and pulls me up over her. Her lips crash onto mine in a heartbeat, and her hands wind up around my neck and cinch me in close. As quietly as I can, I move on top of her and pull the blanket up to hide us. Our ‘cabin’ has a door, which we’ve closed, so unless someone comes to our chairs and purposely peeks over the top, we can’t be seen.
