“Who?”

“When?”

She shrugs and turns to hide her blush. “Just some guy at Jonah’s store.”

I grip the table like it’s the only thing keeping me in my seat. “Who is he, Tina? Describe him.”

“I don’t even know. We didn’t exchange names. He just said hey and threw out a causal smirk that had my toes curling.” She cuddles herself, so unlike the chick who says she’s not interested in dating. “His memory keeps me warm at night.”

Tink shakes her head with a snort. “You make it sound like he’s dead.”

“Well, I mean, I only saw him for two minutes. Then… That was it. No names, no numbers. He was just gone.”

“Why the hell didn’t you exchange details?” she demands.

“I can’t just ask some random guy for his number!”

“Sure you can! You literally just say‘Hey, I think you’re hot. Wanna exchange numbers and maybe we can bang sometime?’”

“No way! I mean, he could be married. He could be a murderer. I have no idea who he is or what his story is.”

I roll my eyes. “What are the chances of him being a married murderer? Honestly.”

“There are more married murderers in this world than you know, you naïve little kitten. But no, I’m happy to just hold onto the memory of aisle four. I’ve memorized his pretty smile, and now I get to go to bed with my own smile each night.”

“You’re a weirdo.” Tink scoffs. “You know there are actual single, good-looking men around, right? You just need to date them.”

“I already told you, I’m not into dating. Not interested.”

“So just casual banging, then?”

“I’d consider a casual bang if Sexy Store Guy happened to turn up in my bed,” she laughs. “I bet he could be a good time – and then he could leave again, right after banging me brainless.”
