“All good.” I smile at my brother as he rolls down his sleeve. “So long as everything comes back clear, we can get you on the books for next week.”

He lets out a long-held breath followed by a soft whimper. Looking at him, I see the tear roll down his cheek. “I don’t know what I would do without you.”

I smile. “You’d better remember that when you come out and everything hurts.” I chuckle, tossing my gloves away and glancing out the window as a gunmetal grey full-size, extended cab truck rolls up. We’re technically not open for another half an hour, so I’m confused. Well, at least until I see Saint step out of the passenger side and pull Ciara into his arms from the booster in the back. He’s followed by Sully, and I’m pretty sure I see Monroe, though he doesn’t get out. Saint has on aviators and looks like he’s been on a bender since the last time I saw him.

“Ooh, are you having grade A dick delivered now?” My brother purrs.

“Tobey, stop. That’s the little girl I told you about.”

“So that’s a yes then on the delivery.” He hip bumps me as I hear the buzzer down the hall.

“Just—stay here.”

“No chance, my homo senses are tingling.”

I roll my eyes. My brother went from a heterosexual Cis woman to a gay man six years ago when our father finally died, and so did my sister Tina. I always knew he wanted this, and as soon as I got started with my practice, we began the transition. All that’s left is his reassignment, and he will finally be able to live his truth.

I head down the hall with Tobey on my heels, and we stop at the main door just as Millie appears. Guess she was in the toilet.

“Sorry, Miss Fuze. I forgot to tell you they asked if they could come in early.”

“It’s fine. Let them in. This won’t take very long.”

My brother snickers, and I rib him. “Ouch.”

The door opens and in walk Sully and Saint. I notice a bit of discoloration even behind the glasses on Saint’s face. “Are you okay?” I ask, concerned.

“I’ll be fine. Just a day in my life. Sorry, we had to come in early.” Is he speaking slower than normal?

I wave them in. “Come on back to the exam room, take off those ridiculous glasses, and let me see what the heck you did to yourself.” I go to walk away, but they don’t budge. “I can’t work from there, ya know.”

“Tone, you haven’t introduced us.” Tobey smiles, leaning against the desk. “I’m Tobias Fuze. Toney’s younger brother, well, nearly. We still have about eight more inches to go.” He laughs. “I’m hopeful, though I have heard it’s easier to dig a hole than build a pole.”

“Uh. Saint is the name. I know shit about building a pole. I was graced with mine. My girl here is Ciara, and the old man beside me is Sullivan.”

“Actually, they call me Sully. Ignore the idiot. He’s had a long night.”

“Oh, I’m sure,” I say with a huff. “Now that we all know each other, may we continue? Mister Westmoreland, please follow me.”

“Am I in trouble, or am I bringing the kid?”

“I can take care of you both. I am rather good at multitasking.”

My brother snickers again, making me shoot him a glare. “And that’s my cue to skedaddle. It was nice to put a face to the almost name.”

“It’ll come, just like her when I fucked her the way she likes it.”

My tongue goes into my cheek. I know what I’m about to say isn’t in any way professional, but fuck him. “As I recall it, you sat back while I rode you to completion, so I suppose I fucked myself how I like it.” I flip my hair and shake my ass as I head for the exam room.

“You used my cock to get there, Doc, and purred like a kitten the entire fucking time.”

My jaw clicks, and I turn back. “The only difference between you and my thunderstick is the recharge time.”

“That thunderstick can’t hold you face down ass up and pound that pretty pink p—” Sully’s hand smacks over Saint’s mouth.

“He’s had a really—long night.”
