“I had such a long day, I think I deserve to be left alone,” she snaps back.
Victor had said something like this. That she’d be moody and all over the place. He’d also given a few suggestions on how to deal with her in that case.

Lucia tenses. “You’re not giving me an enema. Just wear a condom or something.”

“There’s always the closet. Or I can see just how busy Victor is. He might let me use the—”
“I’ll do it!” she says, and I get a thrill out of the panic in her voice. She’d doanythingto avoid being locked away again. He’d been right. I’m glad I let Saint calm me down so we could teach her a lesson instead of beating her bloody after that phone call.
