I stare at him in wide-eyed horror. I’m usually as regular as clockwork, although the stress and trauma of the past few weeks have probably messed with my cycle. But Damien obviously thinks this is some sort of good sign. “I’m late sometimes,” I lie in a whisper.
“Well, I only have data on one of your cycles,” Damien says. “So it’s not really all that accurate at predicting anything.” He glances at Giulio, who’s half-asleep and obviously not paying any attention to our conversation. “We won’t get his hopes up yet.”
It’s not Giulio’s hopes he’s worried about. It’s his own.
“Just make sure to let me know if you get your period within the next week.” Damien strokes my head gently. “And I’ll get pregnancy tests if you don’t.”
The dread boiling up inside of me is enough to make me gag, and for a moment, I’m sure I’m going to get sick.
I fight back the urge, partially because I don’t want to throw up on myself, and partially because Damien would probably see it as a positive sign that his plan is working.
“Yeah,” I say weakly. “I’ll let you know.”
Please, please,I think,let me get my period.
Don’t trap me here forever.
But I don’t think help is coming.
I’m on my own.

RUINING VANESSA (BREEDING CONTEMPT #2)
CHAPTER 1: VANESSA
“Hey, girl,” Slayer says in a faux gentle voice. “We’ve got a guest today. Are you excited? Want to wag that little tail of yours?”
No. No, I don’t want towag that tail. I want out of the dog crate he has me in. I want to be out of sight, out of mind, left alone in my pathetic little room in Ntimacy. I’m beyond humiliated, and it doesn’t help that Slayer keeps circling the dog cage to take pictures of me from every angle.
The dog ears, the butt plug the tail is protruding from, the mitts on my hands to mimic paws, the collar… All of it adds up to so much humiliation that I feel like I’m going to die from it. No one can withstand this level of embarrassment and still survive.
I shake my head slightly, closing my eyes and trying to curl up in a ball in the crate.
“I’m gonna give you so many treats. And you’ll show off all the tricks I taught you,” Slayer says, grinning widely.
I don’t want to show off anytricks. But I don’t fail to notice how he didn’t ask me—he stated it as fact. He knows I’m going to cooperate, because I don’t have a choice.
The doorbell suddenly rings, and Slayer stands up, clapping the top of the dog crate. “There’s my guest now.”
He grabs the leash from the hook on the wall, the sight of which has tears threatening to spill all over again. It’s stupid. The plug is worse. Everything they’ve done to me is worse. Yet I don’t want to crawl at his side like a dog, to be that complicit in my own humiliation.
