I grin at the intensity in his eyes. “You are what I want. It’s always been you, Logan.”

Logan kisses me fully on the mouth and it’s like I’m being given mouth to mouth. I soak in the love pouring out of him and let it envelop my soul.

As we hold each other, kissing, our souls entwine and a rush of tingles spreads through my whole body. This feels right.

We pull apart long enough to catch our breaths, and collapse into each other’s arms again. I rest my head on his chest and listen to his racing heart.

“I’m never letting you go again,” Logan says, kissing the top of my head.

I bury my face in his chest with a grin before I pull back to smile at him. “Good, because you’re not getting rid of me so easily.”

“Good,” he says, then he leans in and kisses me again.

Soon, he pulls back, then looks far away for a moment as though he’s just been struck by a sudden thought.

“What is it?” I ask.

He snaps out of his head and looks at me as though he’s seeing me for the first time. “You know what? I think I do know someone who would be interested in investing in your business idea.”

I lift my brows.

“Are you serious? What makes you so sure?”

Logan laughs, wraps me up in his arms, and pulls me in a little tighter. “Let’s just say I know a guy with more money than he knows what to do with.”

Then he picks me up—literally sweeps me off my feet. I squeal, clutching his neck with both hands. “What are you doing?” I ask.

Logan nuzzles my neck and starts walking us down the path. “I’m taking you to our home.”

“Our home?” I ask, lifting a brow.

“Yes, ma’am,” Logan replies, carrying me like I don’t weigh anything more than a Barbie doll. My heart flutters again.

“I like the sound of that,” I say. Then I rest my head on his chest again and stare at the pretty roses on my lap. The future is still full of mystery, but for the first time in a long time, one thing is clear…

Whatever is coming for us, Logan and I will face it together.

Leila was right. When she finds out about this, she’ll never let me forget it.

EPILOGUE

Josie

“Logan!” I shout, startled at the snap on my back. My bra just pinged open, and he barely touched me.

That man is extremely good with his hands.

I fall back onto the bed next to Logan and he gives me a cheeky grin. “You’re sick, remember? There’s only one thing that helps with the nausea.”

He winks and I roll my eyes, but he’s not wrong.

Lately, my every waking moment has been plagued with nausea and fatigue. The only time nausea takes a back seat is when Logan is worshipping me in bed.

Since I received a generous investment from Wyatt, my personal shopper business has been booming. It’s been a whirlwind of a year. I’ve had more clients than I can manage on my own; we had our wedding at the small church in Snowdrop Valley with the whole town in attendance, and Logan started his new job, as coach at our old High School.

Life has had its ups and downs, and I never thought I would be this happy living in my hometown, but it turns out that Logan and I are living our best lives in the tiny town we were once so keen to leave.
