“Order whatever you want, Cam, Roc is treating,” Morris said while looking at his menu. “Are you the type of person that orders salad when someone says they’re treating, or do you eat?”

“What? I eat! You think I keep all this going on salad?”

Morris smirked, then looked down at his menu.

“You play too much,” he mumbled only loud enough for me to hear.

“I know you work for Valentine, but are you and Roc close?” I asked, still trying to decide on what I wanted to eat.

“He’s my client. I started working with him when this place was merely a twinkle in his eye. Now we are working on putting them in other cities,” Morris said.

“It’s a great concept. I know all about it because I couldn’t get Coco to shut up about it!” I chuckled.

“How long have you been doing Coco’s hair?”

“She’s been my client for a couple of years now. She invited me to the private grand opening, but I was on a ski trip and couldn’t make it,” I explained.

“You ski?”

“Yep, Tweet, and I go to theBlack Ski Summitevery year.”

“Black Ski Summit?”

“It’s an annual convention. Every major city has a black ski club. All those ski clubs meet up at theSummitfor week-long meetings, happy hours, skiing during the day, and events in the evening. It’s in a different city every year.”

“That’s dope. Do you ski well?”

“I’ve been doing it for about ten years, so I’m good at it. I mostly stay on the blue, intermediate slopes. The green slopes are the easiest and black is the most difficult. I try the black at least once every year, and every time I do it, I think to myself, now why am I doing this?” I laughed.

“Do you have a good time?”

“I have a great time every year. It’s a nice getaway, it’s great exercise, and it’s exhilarating going down the slopes with the wind in your face. You should try it one day.”

“Maybe I will,” Morris replied.

“What can I get for you?” the waiter asked.

“We will take an extra-large pizza with… Is the ultimate meat pizza good for you, Cam?”

“It’s good for me,” I answered.

“Great. Can I get a quarter or so of that pizza with cheese only?”

“Sure,” the waiter replied.

“Also, give us a side of the Cajun pasta and breadsticks,” Morris finished.

The waiter left the table.

“Daddy, did you get my cheese pizza?” Fee asked.

“Yes, I got your cheese pizza,” Morris answered.

“She will only eat cheese pizza. She’s a finicky eater,” Skye explained.

“Daddy, Skye is using big words again,” Fee complained.

“It means picky, brilliant person,” Skye rolled her eyes.
