“Nope. It’s all pretty straight forward stuff I can explain and demonstrate. I’m not looking for anyone to run the classes for me, I have a few teachers assisting already.”

“That’s great, shall I run it all this week then?”

“Please. If I don’t find anyone by the end of the week I’ll ring you and ask you to run it again?”

“That’s fine. It should appear in tomorrow’s paper if I get off the line and rush a little.”

“Amazing, thank you! How do you want me to pay?”

“Oh, I’ll send you an invoice at the end of the week, don’t worry about it.”

“That’s great news.” I thank her and say goodbye, then hang up. I’m pleased that I’ve crossed another job off my to do list.

I check the time and realize I need to get moving if I’m going to get the space set up in time for one of my other doga classes. I’m just turning on the coffee machine when Whit walks in with Peewee trailing behind him.

“Hey.” I grin, stupidly happy to see him again for some reason. I forgot last night that I’d be seeing him in class today. It cheers me up no end even though I have to wait another day to see the others for our skate date.

Peewee comes straight over to me for some love, which I’m more than happy to give him.

“It’s great to see you both again.”

“Are we on time for the class?” Whit asks.

“Absolutely. You’re the first ones here, I’m just about to set up and the others will be here soon.”

“Can we help?” I smirk at him.

“How much help will Peewee be?”

“Okay, well, can I help? Peewee will be on his best behavior and I promise he won’t eat the snacks.”

“Sure.” I laugh. “I just have to put out the mats and fill the dog bowls with water. It’s not too bad.”

Whit smiles easily and leads the way upstairs with Peewee, and this time I shamelessly check out his ass as he climbs. He’s dressed a little more appropriately for the class today—he’s wearing slim gray sweatpants—but it’s damn dangerous for me because he looks fine as hell in them.

He grabs the pile of dog bowls and takes them over to the sink to fill them while I put the mats out. Peewee curls up on my instructor mat and I grin. I love that he seems to like me and Ade.

Once the bowls are full, I help Whit place one beside each mat. Our fingers brush innocently every once in a while, but the electricity coursing between us ignites the desire in my veins, and I don’t know how I’m going to make it through the class. I feel like the bond between us is growing, building to a point where...well, I don’t even know what will happen. But it thrills and terrifies me equally.

“All done,” Whit says, shaking me out of my daze.

“I’ll go down and greet the others. Grab a mat for yourself. It looks like Peewee is working with me today.”

Whit glances over to where his dog is now sprawled out on my mat, on his back, with all four legs in the air. It looks like he’s doing an impression of a fainting goat, and I can’t help but giggle at him.

“He may be a dumb dog, but he has good taste.” Whit chuckles.

“Hello?” A voice calls from downstairs.

“I’ll be right back.”

I race down the stairs to greet everyone and am immediately accosted by Groot in his pajamas, jumping up to say hi.

“Hello gorgeous boy! Is it a jammies kind of day?”

“There was a chance of rain, you know how he is,” Rachel, his owner laughs. Groot hates water. He cocks his head at me and gives me a look that says anyone who likes water is clearly crazy. I scratch his head but don’t agree with him. I love water in all its forms. Ade is constantly complaining that I make her go for walks in the rain.

“Come on up. We have a new pair joining this class, Whit and Peewee. They came to one of the other sessions and I must have done something right because they came back.”
