“What?” She widens her nut-brown eyes innocently at me. “I couldn’t turn it off. The knob got stuck.”

I frown and squeeze past her to fix the problem. I reach into the shower, not caring that I’m getting wet, and easily turn the shower off.

“Seems okay to me,” I grumble.

“My hero!” She beams, laughing. “Maybe I just wanted to get you wet.”

I freeze for a second, then force myself to calm down. She doesn’t mean anything by it. She’s having a good day, which means she’s in a playful mood. She’s not flirting, I tell myself. Yeah, tell that to my cock which is stirring. I silently groan and contemplate just getting back under the spray and turning it to cold. I cannot get turned on by Callie. I can’t. It’s wrong. I won’t.

Yeah, repeating my mantra isn’t working. Old Callie or new, I want her as much today as I always have. And my patience is wearing thin. It’s only a matter of time before my self-control snaps, and I make a fool out of myself.

Joe: How are you doing, princess?

Callie: I do wish you wouldn’t call me that, but I’m fine

Joe: Pretty sure you love it really. You’re beautiful

Callie: Lol! You’ve never even met me. How could you possibly know what I look like? I could be Quasimodo’s even uglier younger sister

Joe: I meant on the inside. You’re cool, a nice person. I wouldn’t have been texting you a hundred times a day for the last few weeks if I didn’t like you

Callie: :) I think you’re pretty nice too

Joe: Do you like me?

Callie: No, I always send hundreds of messages a day, for weeks on end, to people I cannot stand

Joe: Yeah but do you like me, like me?

Callie: :) maybe

Joe: I really like you too :)
