“Drea, you have to tell her,” Becky stated. “You need to tell Aurora, or this will haunt you for the rest of your life, and if she finds out any other way than from you, then you stand a greater chance of losing her. Just be honest and tell her why you didn’t want her to know.”

Andrea listened to her mother’s words, stating the inevitable, and yet still, she couldn’t help but wish she would have given her a different response.

“She might get angry and resent you for keeping the truth from her, but you’re still her mother… the one who has been there all of her life. Nothing can beat that love. She will still love you, Drea, have faith.”

“If I’ve never said it before, I love you, Mom,” she expressed.

“I love you, too, Drea,” Becky replied, bringing Andrea into her embrace.

“This is a wonderful sight to see, but now I’m jealous. Where’s my hug?”

The two pulled apart. Turning, they saw Cora standing at the kitchen entrance with a pout on her lips, but the glint in her eyes suggested it wasn’t serious.

Suddenly she burst out in laughter, and the others followed suit.
