Charlotte explained what she was doing and how Dylan was helping.

“He’s a great guy,” said Brooke. “Very creative. I think you’ll make a terrific team.”

Adam joined them. “What’s up?”

Charlotte told him about the new photographs she wanted and how Dylan had promised to help.

“I told Brooke if there’s any construction work you needed to be done, I’m available,” Adam said. He glanced at Brooke.

Brooke beamed at him, her smile lighting her face. “I have some ideas, but I haven’t presented them to my cousins yet. Nothing major but a lot of little touches that will make a big difference.”

“Want to show me?” said Adam.

“Sure, but no decisions until my cousins approve,” said Brooke. “I’m in charge of the finances, and that’s what we agreed on.”

“Go ahead and show him around,” said Charlotte, aware of their interest in one another.

Dylan arrived, and she and Dylan spent the next hour working with his camera, talking about ideas for photo shoots for the Inn.

Later, hot from the sun, they retired to the Inn’s kitchen where Livy was making a coffee cake for the next morning.

“Smells delicious,” said Dylan taking a seat at the small table in the corner of the room.

“Sorry. I can’t give you any of this, but there are some muffins left over from this morning. Help yourself,” said Livy as she placed the coffee cake on a cooling rack.

“Livy, you’re one in a million,” said Dylan taking a bite of muffin and rolling his eyes with pleasure.

Livy and Charlotte exchanged amused glances. Charlotte was aware that Livy would never settle for a man who didn’t see her beyond her fabulous treats.
