"I want you too. But this is not right. And we both would be liars to look Jenna in the eyes and pretend like nothing is going on. Besides, how do I know you do not have a girlfriend?"

"Have you seen me with any woman lately? I don't have a girlfriend. I just moved out of a situation with a girlfriend. One I don't care to return to." Eric's eyes squint in anger.

"What does that mean? You don't want a girlfriend, or just that particular woman?"

"I mean that woman. She is clingy, needy, and a pain in my ass. If she dribbled on her chin, she damn near would ask me to wipe if for her. That is how needy she was."

"Wow, sounds like she is more like a toddler and not a grown woman. Is that why you left her?"

"Yes, she was too much for me. And my sister absolutely hated her. Jenna could not stand her."

"I see," I say, pouring us both more wine. "So is being single working out for your?"

"Yes and no." Eric takes a sip of his wine.

"Yes and no?"

"Yes, as in it is nice to be away from her, and also to have my own space. No, as in I would love to pleasure a woman and roll over in the morning to kiss her on the forehead. Then go for another round of hot steamy sex." Eric winks at me again.

"So, you are saying you are horny?" I giggle.

"Have you ever met a man that is not?"

"You have a valid point there. Tell me Eric, am I just another piece of ass in your eyes or are you genuine in what you say? I am not a lady who just hooks up to get off. I like to have something meaningful."

"If I wanted a hook up, I certainly could get one. As a matter of fact, I met some young chick at the Chinese place the other night who slipped me her number. If I wanted a piece of ass, all I need to do is text or call her and she would be here within minutes: naked and ready to go."

"Then why don't you call her?" I sneer.

"Because I don’t want her. I want you."

"Eric! Please stop. You are making this so hard for me.” I blush deeply.

"Speaking of hard, are you going to send me home like this?" Eric looks down at his crotch.

"Think of something else. Let's change the subject, shall we?"

"Good idea. Let's talk about our favorite movies, food, and music. Just like we are on a dating site trying to drudge up a conversation and see if we click." Eric chuckles.

"My favorite movie is The Devil Wears Prada. My favorite food is anything seafood, and my favorite music is something with a strong beat and rhythm."

"You my dear are a complete smart ass!" Eric throws a pillow at my face.

"Moi? Never, ha-ha. I just had to change the subject before we ended up doing something we regretted," I say, tossing the pillow back at Eric.

"I would not regret anything with you. I am just saying." Eric stares into my eyes.

"Are you sure about that?"

"Maybe." Eric takes a drink of his wine.
