"I need to play this cool and be patient. Do you know what I mean? I am going over to the cables to do some shoulder work," I say, walking away from Alex.

After a two-hour-long workout and my body covered in sweat, Alex and I go our separate ways. I head home for a shower.

Sauntering down the hallway with my gym bag in hand, I see Aria in the hallway by her door.

"Hey Aria, everything okay?"

"Yeah, other than I managed to lock myself out of my apartment like an idiot," Aria grunts.

"Oh no! Do you want to come in and call the superintendent from my apartment?"

"Can I?" She smiles.

"Of course, come on in." I unlock my door and open it for Aria.

Aria steps inside my apartment and I hand her my cell phone to call the building superintendent to let her back in her place. While she is on the phone with him, I make my post-workout protein shake and take a seat on my couch.

"Thanks for letting me use your phone." Aria hands my phone to me.

"No problem. You are welcome to wait here for the super to come unlock your door. You know how fast he tends to move? At about at a snail’s pace." I laugh.

"That would be great, thanks. Yeah, he is slow to show up. He is kind of like my ex." Aria sniggers.

"Have a seat." I pat my couch for her to sit down, ignoring Aria’s ex comment.

Aria sits down on my couch at arm’s length from me.

"Do you want something to drink?" I ask her.

"Sure, what do you have?"

"Water, juice, wine, beer, or a protein shake."

"Well, it is past noon, so how about a glass of wine?" She grins at me.

"That works for me."

I pour us each a glass of pinot grigio and hand her the drink. She smiles as she takes the wine from me and takes a sip.

We both sit in quiet for a moment until the room begins to have an awkward atmosphere to it.

Clearing my throat I ask, "So, do you like living here?"

"Yeah, actually, I love living here. It is so close to restaurants, grocery stores and my favorite coffee shop. Not to mention, I love the view I have over the city from my living room," Aria sips more wine. "Do you like it here so far?"

"Yeah, I do. I like the building and all the amenities. I can’t wait to use the pool soon. It seems like people are pretty cool in this place."

"Yeah, for the most part. You need to watch out for the old man in apartment 512. He is kind of a grumpy ass," Aria giggles. “And I love to use the pool at night. The lighting is pretty spectacular.”

"Noted about Grumpy in 512. And as for the pool, you should take a night dip with me soon."

"Do you mind if I use your restroom?" Aria stands up as if she is in a panic.

"Sure, let me show you the way." I stand up with her.

Aria follows my lead back through my bedroom to the master bathroom. There is no way I would let her use my guest bathroom. It is still full of moving boxes and not clean.

As I try to open the door, Aria does the same thing, and our hands meet upon the door handle.
