"No, not completely. I had to tell you the entire truth." I stand up from the table.
Jenna starts walking towards my door and spins back to face me. "Is this why you had me over tonight? To tell me that you and my brother are an item?"
"Partly, yes. I wanted to tell you face to face. Jenna, you know I am not one to sugarcoat things with you." I follow Jenna.
"I can't Aria, I just can't." Jenna hurls open the door.
"Jenna, wait! Please stop and talk to me. I don't want us to end up hating each other!" I follow Jenna into the hallway.
"You are nothing but a conniving bitch, Aria!" Jenna stomps down the hallway.
"Jenna, stop! Listen to me." I am fast on Jenna's heels.
Jenna turns back and faces me. "You stay away from me and my brother, you bitch!" Jenna slams me into the wall.
"Don't you push me, Jenna!" My knees shake with rage. "Don't you ever lay hands on me again!"
As I charge at Jenna, Eric's door flies open, and he nearly jumps out into the hallway, "What in the hell is going on? Someone will end up calling the cops if you both don't quiet down!"
"Tell your little girlfriend to never call me again, Eric!" Jenna yells.
"My little girlfriend? Is that what all this racket is about? Aria and me? Seriously, Jenna, you need to grow up and get a grip. This is insane how you are acting, and this shit needs to stop now!" Eric's eyes pierce Jenna's.
"So what Aria is telling me is the truth? You two have feelings for one another? That this is more than just a fun fling? Are you fucking kidding me?" Jenna's eyes fill with tears.
"Yes! That is the truth! I care about Aria, and she feels the same for me. You need to stop acting like a two-year-old over this. I am done with this, Jenna, no more!" Eric yells.
My heart nearly drops hearing the words Eric just put out to Jenna. He does care for me! I knew things with him were more than just casual.
“Jenna, please stop with all of this!” I beg.
Jenna glares at Eric and me, “You know what? You two can have each other. You don’t have to hide this anymore from me or anyone else. I don’t want anything to do with either of you!” Jenna stomps down the hallway.
“Jenna! Please Jenna!” I plead.
“Let her go, Aria. She is not even in a place to listen, much less act her age," Eric grabs my arm. "Why in the hell would you have her over and talk about us? You know that is damn near suicide?"
"Eric, I wanted to tell her about us. That things are more than what appears on the outside. I hoped she would be happy for us, but I was stupid to think she would ever be happy for anyone."
"Just let her be for a while. Allow her to process and maybe, she will come to her senses."
"Is it true what you told her?" My eyes pierce Eric's.
"Yes, but you did not need me to confirm my feelings with you. You already know how I feel about you.” Eric steps closer to me and puts his hands on my shoulders. "Aria, I’m falling in love with you."
My mind spins with the words that came from Eric's mouth, and it takes me a minute to analyze what he just said.
Nearly stuttering I say, "Eric, I, I, I’m falling in love you too! I want to be with you forever."
"How would you feel if we moved into together?" Eric looks deep into my eyes.
"I would like that. I think we need to let things calm down first with your sister."
"Agreed. Want to come in and have a drink?" Eric smiles.
"No, I am sorry. I need some time alone to process this entire night."
"Okay, raincheck it is," Eric leans in to kiss me. "See you tomorrow?"
