Needless to say, I took down my profile and decided meeting someone organically is best.It is a matter of time, patience, and also getting over Eric.

Not seeing Eric for the last few weeks has been tough on me, and the loneliness has definitely set in. But I know that I must stick to my guns with Eric. At this point, he has probably found himself some hot woman he cannot resist.

After a long day at work, as usual, I stop and pick up a bottle of wine at the liquor store down the street from Tower 12.

As I walk to the wine aisle, I notice Eric standing there with a bottle of the red wine I introduced him to. His eyes look lifeless, and his face appears he is miserable.

Eric looks up from the wine, "Aria? How are you?" He does not even crack a smile.

"Oh hey, Eric. I did not see you standing there." I pretend to act dumb.

"It is good to see you. I miss you terribly." Eric’s eyes remain subdued.

"I am doing well. I have been super busy and going out a lot. How are you?" I try to change the topic of him missing me.

"I am okay. I am trudging along. My life seems empty without you."

"I am sorry to hear that. I know this is for the best though, and so do you. Hope to see you around." I grab a bottle of wine and go to the cash register.

Eric drops his head and stares down at the wine in his hands.

My heart is nearly beating out of my chest with the angst of missing Eric too. Even though I refused to admit it to him, I really miss him in so many ways.

The following morning my alarm goes off, and my day begins. The sinking feeling in my gut almost makes it impossible for my feet to reach the floor to get out of bed. I have no choice as I have to work today. Today is another important day in the courtroom with our clients.

After mustering up the energy to get ready and leave for work, I open the door to my apartment.

One dozen hot pink roses in a crystal vase are on the floor in front of my door. A matching hot pink bow is wrapped around the top of the vase. Within the soft and fragrant flower petals, there is a note tucked inside.

The flowers are from Eric, and his note puts me into complete tears.

Aria, I miss you so much there are no words to describe how I feel. I know my sister really messed things up between us, and I will never get over that. I cannot get over you. You are the light of my life and the woman I really care for and love. Please, let's talk! Love, Eric.

Wiping my eyes, I take the roses inside and place them on the counter. Reading the note once again, my heart feels like glass about to shatter. Should I give this another chance?
