"I did it," I admitted.

Dr. Kelly stared at me, blinking a few times. "You… bit him?" he asked at length.

Arrow was giving me an unreadable look, which never meant anything good.

"Yeah," I answered stiffly. "It's a long story."

"Try me," the doctor said, folding his arms.

"I don't know, okay?" I muttered. "It happened the night before I left. I don't fully understand it myself."

"How did it happen?" Dr. Kelly demanded. He seemed more confused than anything, while Arrow just seemed to be getting more and more pissed by the second, which was fair enough. I was pissed at myself. Horrified, really.

I knew I was going to have to out myself, but the truth was, I had no idea how to help Eddie, and Dr. Kelly was my best shot.

"We were…" I trailed off and glanced at Arrow, who was waiting just as intently. "Look, could you give us a second?"

"Nope," he said, folding his arms as he stood by stubbornly. .

I sighed. "Okay, fine. It happened while we were sleeping together."

"Sleeping together?" Arrow echoed, raising an eyebrow. "Well, I’ll fucking be. Who could have guessed fucking one of the new recruits could end up going south?"

The doctor gave him a scolding look before he turned his attention back to me. "I'm trying to understand here. I assume it wasn't the first time you two have… had intercourse?"

I grimaced. Did he have to make everything sound so clinical?

"No," I admitted. "We’ve done it a few times."

"And nothing like this ever happened before?"

"No.” I hesitated, realizing I was going to have to lay out all the details. They were both watching me expectantly.

"What is it?" Dr. Kelly asked. "You might as well come out with it all now. I can’t help him if you're not honest with me."

I nodded grudgingly. "I also knotted him.”

The doctor stared blankly at me. For once, Arrow was stunned enough to shut the hell up.

"I'm sorry," Dr. Kelly said, pressing a hand to his temple. "Did you say youknottedhim?"

"Yeah,” I said. “That's a new development, by the way."

"You're fucking serious," Arrow said, gaping at me.

I frowned. "You think I would make this shit up? In front of you, of all people?"

He didn't have an answer for that.

"And this happened after the wolf bit you?" Dr. Kelly asked thoughtfully, echoing the conclusion I had come to a long time ago. "You think…?"

"I don't know what else to think," I said with a shrug. "Pretty sure I would've noticed that before. I guess it could have been the transfusion, but as far as I know, that's not a side effect."

"No," he murmured. "It certainly isn't."

"Great," I said. "Maybe I'm just lucky, then."

"No wonder he was walking funny," Arrow muttered. When he saw the way we were both looking at him, he shrugged. "What? He was."
