“Let’s get you in the shade, princess. The sun burning down on you isn’t helping. You could be dehydrated.”

I blink a few times. I didn’t dream this. Tieroisreally here in the flesh.

My heart leaps at seeing him so close. I want to reach over and touch his face, make sure he’s real, but my arms are so heavy… actually, my entire body is, and I’m tired to the bones.

I close my eyes as Aiden stands up with me in his arms. “Let’s get you inside and out of this heat,” he decides.

“Yes, and I’ll call Agosti. You need to be looked at,” Tiero says, pulling out his phone to make the call.

“I don’t need a doctor. You just have to stop stressing me out, and I’m going to be fine,” I protest.

“It’s not up for discussion, princess.” God, and there he is again, master of my fate and the whole universe.Argh!

Tiero’s goons walk ahead and open the door to the hotel.

“Put me down, please. I can walk,” I tell Aiden.

“Not a chance. I don’t know how stable you are on your feet.”

Yeah, truth be told, I don’t know either. There is a good chance my legs will give out.

“Doctor Agosti is on his way,” Tiero says when he gets off the phone.

“Why are you traveling with your doctor?” I ask. That’s a bit weird, isn’t it?

“He goes with me everywhere.” When I throw him a questioning look, he elaborates. “In my position, it pays to have a doctor on hand at all times.”

Of course. I guess he never knows when the next ambush might come, and Tiero has always been well prepared. “But Doctor Agosti wasn’t with us in Rome and Monza.” I think back to our last trip… and everything that happened then. Involuntarily, a shiver runs through me at the memory.

Aiden notices, of course, and pulls me closer against his body, his concerned eyes finding mine. He knows about Molinaro’s attempt to kidnap me and everything that went down. His jaw clenches, and his lips press into a thin line.

“Agosti was there,” Tiero throws in. “You just didn’t see him. He monitored you after the sedative.”

Ah yeah, the third time he had me sedated, though, that time I didn’t mind. Still, I don’t need the reminder of the power Tiero wields over me and everyone in his life. And now Aiden and I are in his clutches.

I glance around us. There are half a dozen goons, and Santino is leading the way through the hotel. Half of our cheery party enters the elevator and Santino presses the button for our floor. I’m not surprised he knows which room we’re staying in. Santino always seems to know everything. No doubt, Tiero’s hacker, Uberto, got them the information.

Even with only half the entourage in this elevator, it’s cramped and the level of testosterone is oppressive.

I’m not afraid of Tiero, but I worry about what he will do to Aiden.

When we get to our suite, Aiden enters, carrying me, followed by Tiero. Thankfully, the rest of them wait outside, even Santino. Aiden strides to the bedroom and carefully lays me down on the bed, covering me with a blanket.

Both men sit on either side of me, studying me. The butterflies in my stomach go haywire. Is this meant to calm me? Well, it’s not! Quite the opposite. It’s like I’m under the microscope, and I nervously bounce my gaze between them.

But even in this weird situation, I’m struck by just how gorgeous both men are. My heart seems too big for my chest with everything I feel for them.

I close my eyes to shut them out… just for a few moments till I find some calm.

Tiero takes my hand and kisses the top of it, and Aiden follows, warming my other hand with his.

Goosebumps race across my skin as they both touch me. Never in a million years would I have pictured myself in this scenario… alone on a bed with two sinfully hot men.

Not that anything is going to happen. Neither Tiero nor Aiden are men who share. But just for a few seconds, a girl can dream, right?

So I keep my eyes closed and soak in their presence.

My heart swells. I love them. It’s as simple as that.
