“I’m okay,” my voice wobbles. West wraps his arm around my shoulder and kisses my temple. “How much has West filled you in on?”

“He told me you were robbed, and your mom’s box was taken.” Sympathy fills her eyes. “I’m sorry, sweetie, I don’t know what was in the box or if there was a key for it. The only thing I remember was thinking it was weird when she brought it over. It was the summer before the avalanche. It was an out of character thing, you know?”

I nod, trying to remember that summer. They spent a lot of time on Cascade Peak doing volunteer watch shifts. There was a bad drought that year, so I basically stayed with the Larsons all summer.

“I’m sorry, honey.”

“It’s okay,” I tell her. “That’s more than we knew before.”

“Will you come visit us sometime?” she asks.

“Mom,” West warns.

“It’s okay.” I pat his leg. “I’d love to.”

Someday.

Days later, and the sheriff couldn’t even bother to come check a set of tracks leading into the back country that Cody found. He followed them to a creek on the boundary of our property, but lost them on the rocky bank. The dogs have been acting weird lately as well, always on high alert. Blue hasn’t been by in days and my concern grows by the hour.

My emotions have been all over the place. Emerie sent me home early today after an incident with a customer who I’ve never seen before. At least, I don’t think I’ve ever seen him. He had one of those faces that you can’t quite place. Familiar but a stranger. He was asking too many questions about me so West stepped in.

That’s why I’m here now, lying in front of the fire and trying to relax with a book. The sky out the window is dark gray, even though it’s mid-afternoon. I sit up when I hear West call my name and my eyes widen with joy when I step outside.

Big, wet snowflakes are falling from the sky. The smile that crosses his face as he pulls me into his embrace is full of love and happiness. The temperatures have been dipping below freezing at night, so the flakes aren’t melting as they land.

“Do you remember how we used to play in the first snow together?” he asks as he spins us around.

“Yes.” I giggle at his enthusiasm.

“Want to play a grown up version?”

I pause, intrigued. “What’s the game?”

“You have thirty seconds to run and you’ll know when I catch you.” His emerald eyes gleam wickedly. “Twenty-five seconds now.”

I turn with a yelp and start running for one of the trails to the cabins, glad I left the dogs inside. I don’t know what he has planned for me, but I don’t want to make it easy on him. He’s much faster than me, but he doesn’t know the forest like I do.

I hear his footsteps as he gains ground behind me, whooping when he sees me. I dart into the forest, heading for the opposite side of the lake. I’m not dressed for this in my work leggings and sweater but running is keeping me warm. I jump across one of the streams that feeds the lake and keep going.

“How do I win?” I yell over my shoulder.

“We all win when I catch you.”

“What do you mean we?” I yell breathlessly.

“He means us.” Cody moves out from a tree with a devilish smirk.

I squeal and cut left as he starts pursuing me. If these two planned this, I know Blake is probably waiting out here to ambush me as well. I can hear Cody right behind me and make the mistake of looking back to see how much time I have until I’m caught. While I’m still looking over my shoulder, two strong arms wrap about me, the scent of sandalwood surrounding me, and I know instantly that it’s Blake.

“Got her,” he says darkly.

Heat shoots to my pussy when he bites my earlobe and tugs. One arm is wrapped around my shoulders, holding me back to front against him. When the other hand moves up my stomach, taking my shirt with it to cup my breasts, he groans against me as the other two join us in the clearing.

“No bra? It’s like you knew this was coming.” He pinches my nipple as the cold air nips at my exposed skin.

Cody presses against my front, pulling Blake’s head over for a kiss while he toys with my other nipple. I make eye contact with West as he pulls his shirt off. Snowflakes gather in his hair and melt against his smooth tan skin. I grind between Cody and Blake, feeling their cocks harden against me as they kiss.
