“Thinking.”

She squeezed my arm comfortingly before her fingers returned to their mindless task of slowly spinning my wedding band around and around my finger. “What about?”

“Chinese food.” A coughing laugh punched from my lungs when she jammed her elbow into my stomach. “Kidding,” I rasped.

“Ass,” she murmured lightheartedly.

“I was thinking aboutthis,” I said seriously, then caught her fingers between mine and placed our hands on her six-month pregnant belly. “How it feels like we got to this place exactly when we were supposed to. How, in every life, you’re my world.”

She rested her head against my chest as a contented sigh pushed from her lips. “Trying to make me fall in love with you, Chase Grayson?”

“Thought I’d already done that?”

I felt her amused hum vibrate against my chest before she shifted enough to be able to look up at me. A soft, teasing smile lighting up her face that fell into a perfect, sensualowhen I continued.

“You consume me,” I whispered, voice low and rough and dripping with honesty. “Then. Now. In every life.”

Those eyes I loved so much danced when she echoed, “Every life.”
