Each man put his hand on the small of her back as they led her across the outdoor patio, past the backyard bonfire and down the street. They walked for several blocks down the Magnificent Mile and then turned a few more blocks down a lane.

The door of their destination looked like the entrance to a medieval castle, and there were even iron bars over the small shuttered window. A black and white Jolly Roger pirate flag flew above it.

THE CROW’S NEST

“What is this?” Alexis inquired. Her interest was piqued.

“It’s a restaurant, of sorts.”

Rod held the door open for her and motioned gallantly for her to enter.

“For pirate lovers,” he chuckled.

“Welcome to the Crow’s Nest, sirs,” the hostess greeted them.

She blatantly ignored Alexis.

“Three for…” began Alexis.

“Cállate,” Rod commanded sharply. “¡Silencio!”

Her mouth snapped shut. Damn, Spanish was sexy.

“Tonight, you are our guest, Dr. Thomas,” Zane whispered softly into her ear. “You will behave accordingly.”

Alexis assented as something hypnotic flooded over her, her body languid.

Algolagnia? Pleasure-induced sexual psychosis? The physician in her worked overtime to identify her affliction.

Submission. Plain and simple.

No way. Not me. Not here. Not with them. Not in a pirate restaurant!

Rod took her by the elbow and they followed the hostess. The interior reminded her of Treasure Island Hotel in Las Vegas. As they walked, they passed private booths masked by heavy, maroon velvet curtains tied with gold tassels. Alexis could hear soft moans of lovemaking on both sides of the wood-planked aisle.

“Your table, sirs.” The hostess held open a heavy velvet drape.

Alexis eased into the old, wooden booth and the men followed. She noticed there was no other booth across the table. That was odd. The hostess poured them each a glass of ice water in a jewel-studded chalice.

“Your server will be with you shortly.”

The drape swung shut and they were alone. Rod set the tequila on the table.

“What an interesting bottle,” Alexis started up, making conversation.

She held up the sun-shaped glass container of tequila. The sides of the round bottle had been hand-blown to form the sun’s rays, and the face of the sun had also been imprinted onto the glass.

“You’re an interesting woman.” Zane eyed her up and down.

“This is an interesting place.” Alexis could hear the muffled love cries of someone near them getting louder.

“There are rules here, Alexis,” Zane explained. Hiseyes were aflame. “As our dinner ‘guest,’ that means you must follow the rules.”

She agreed, inexplicably enthralled.

“Tonight, we are your Doms and you are our sub,” he elaborated. “That means you must obey us. You must do anything we tell you to do. Anything.”

“And if I don’t want to?” She tossed her golden locks defiantly.
