Morning meeting with Ansen on the set.

Hide in my new office. I think it was once a janitor’s closet. There’s the distinct smell of bleach. I’ve tried lighting candles and spraying air freshener, but nothing works.

Still, even with the smell, I’ve gotten more accomplished in the last two weeks than I thought possible. Not that I haven’t been interrupted at every turn.

Ansen gave me a walkie talkie in case he needed me since I wouldn’t be on the set with him every second of the day.

He disturbs me at least once an hour.

But none of that matters right now.

Today is for relaxing. Sunbathing. Drinking fruity concoctions with little umbrellas in them. Enjoying the sound of the waves lapping against the sand and the smell of the salt water.

Yup.

It’s my day off.

The set is thousands of miles away. The aroma of bleach is a distant memory.

We’re officially on location. Nassau, Bahamas. The beautiful Caribbean Island I’ve always wanted to visit but never made the time to. And now here I am. White sand beaches as far as the eye can see. Nothing but open water in front of me and a sailboat that’s so far out its smaller than my thumb.

We flew in late last night, landing around midnight. By the time we got to the hotel it was after two in the morning. Celia convinced Zoe to go barhopping with her while the rest of us crashed. Today is our only day to enjoy doing whatever we want before we start filming, and I wasn’t going to ruin it with a hangover … not that I would have gone out with them if I had been invited.

When I woke up this morning, I felt more refreshed than I have in weeks. Maybe it’s knowing I’m in paradise. Or it could be the mimosa I had delivered with my breakfast.

ME: {pic of toes in the white sand}

AUSTIN: Are you trying to brag? Because it’s working.

HAYDEN: {pic of red toenails sticking out of peep-toe shoes on ugly black and green flat-weave carpet}

HAYDEN: My toes are prettier.

AUSTIN: That carpet is really ugly. Can’t the casino afford to replace it? At least get with the times.

ME: It’s Vegas. No one cares what the carpet looks like.

HAYDEN: What she said. And this is new, it’s just ugly.

AUSTIN: That’s just sad. And I like the shade of red you picked this time. Tay, you should try red.

ME: Did you not see the sand? I mean, it’s white. And the water here is a beautiful shade of turquoise.

AUSTIN: So you are bragging. Bitch.

AUSTIN: {pic of Seattle skyline}

HAYDEN: {pic of rows of slot machines}

ME: Not bragging but I wanted to share. You do realize I’m here for work, right?

HAYDEN: Working on your tan doesn’t count as work. Though, you were looking rather pale the last time we FaceTimed.

AUSTIN: She should be working on getting laid. We all know she needs it.

ME: Why are you so concerned with my sex life?

AUSTIN: It’s been a while.
