Adam, on the other hand, is staring at me with excitement in his eyes.

"What?" I ask as he approaches, Wyatt announcing the arrival of brunch.

"You won," he declares, taking my hand in his and pulling it to his lips.

"Won what?"

"You wanted to know what we were having and now you do."

"Funny. I knew it was a baby before today," I reply, pushing his shoulder, but he doesn't budge. "I have a feeling you were in on Bev's little trick today."

"What!" he gasps, feigning shock.

"I knew it. So you know what we're having, then."

"I have no idea what you're talking about," he says, attempting to brush past me but I step in his way. "Adam Michael Jones, if you know, you better tell me. It's not fair."

Lifting his hand in surrender, he shakes his head. "I swear, I have no idea. I'm the one who didn't want to know, remember?"

"But you did have something to do with today's stunt."

"Yes, but only because the doctor needed permission from one of us to find out what we were having. Patient confidentiality and all that shit."

Poking him in the chest with my finger, I step closer. "I swear to God, if you know what we're having and you keep it from me, you won't live to see the day this child is born."

"Feisty much?" Wyatt says from behind me.

"Only when I need to be," I reply, keeping my attention focus on Adam. There's a gleam in his eyes. I've seen it before. My threat missed the mark. Instead of instilling fear in him, I've managed to turn him on.

"He doesn't know anything, I promise," Wyatt continues. "I already tried to threaten him and it didn't work."

Spinning around, Wyatt steps back and holds his hands up in the air, mimicking Adam.

"What's going on?" Chloe asks, wrapping her arms around Wyatt's exposed mid-section.

"Someone knows what we're having, and no one will tell me," I whine.

"Addy, quit scaring the guys. They don't know anything, and I've already tried to get my mom to talk. She's not giving away any information. If you really want to know, ask the doctor. He has to tell you."

"No he doesn't," I frown, remembering the conversation we had at my last appointment.

"I'm pretty sure he does," she replies, pulling Wyatt's arms from the air so he can wrap them around her.

"I made him promise not to tell me no matter how much I begged. Adam and I made a deal, and it was the only way I would stick to it."

Chloe laughs, her hands moving to her belly as she does. Only she would find this funny.

Cautiously, Adam slides his arms around me from behind, caressing my belly as I relax back into his body. "We can call off the deal if you really want to know."

"No, it can be a surprise. Today just made me really anxious is all."

"Sunday will be worse," Chloe quips. "It'll be fun, but not knowing which set of gifts are for you is going to be hard."

Groaning, I close my eyes and attempt to rest my mind.

All I want is to pick a name for our child. I can't do that if I have no idea what we're having. Chloe suggested picking a name that could fit either gender and I squashed that like a bug. I won't be calling my daughter Taylor or my son Kelly.

Addison is one of those names. Granted I've only met one man named Addison in my life, but it was still awkward, more so for him than me, I think. It feels more like a female name. I won't have my child questioning their name and I certainly don't want them to think I couldn't pick out a normal name for them so I settled.
