Feather rubs her hands together. “What is it? Does it involve ice cream and lots of naked skin?”
Cayenne rolls her eyes. “Feather owns the ice cream shop, Feather’s Frozen Delights.”
“Really?” I raise a brow. “The ice cream there is fabulous.”
Feather tucks her chin into her chest but not before I note the pink painting her cheeks. “Thank you.”
“Ahem.” Sage clears her throat. “Can we return to my idea now?”
I motion for her to go ahead. It’s not as if I can stop whatever’s going to come out of her mouth anyway.
“You need to show Juniper you’re here to stay and what better way for you to show her your intentions than to get involved in the community.”
Since the community is completely wacko, I’m afraid of whatever idea she’s concocted.
She smiles. “For instance, you could involve yourself in one of our community activities.”
Is she purposely talking in riddles? “What community activity did you have in mind?”
Her smile switches into a smirk. “What better activity for the Hollywood star than movie night?”
I do know a lot about movies. “What do you need me to do? Pick the movie? Arrange for its arrival? What?”
Sage raises her hand and snaps her fingers. “Bryan, we need sustenance.”
“I’ve got exactly what you need.” He wiggles his eyebrows in my direction. “Chocolate and coffee coming up.”
I gulp. I’m either making the biggest mistake of my life or this is my first step toward getting Juniper to accept the idea of there being an us. I hope it’s the latter.
