The nervous energy rushes from me when my eyes land on Adrian’s sparkling blue ones. They widen and then crinkle, matching his wide grin.

“You look gorgeous, angel.” His voice is deep and seductive and his eyes leisurely roam down my body, drinking in every inch, every curve. I shiver in pleasure at his heated gaze.

“You don’t look so bad yourself,” I quip back, and his grin turns into a smug smirk. He meets my eyes, quirking an eyebrow in challenge. Alright, he fully knew how sexy he looked. His sun-kissed brown hair is effortlessly pushed back, begging me to run my fingers through it. Dressed in a navy suit jacket and pants, he looks like sex on a stick with his white dress shirt left unbuttoned at the top. Sculpted pecs are just visible through the opening. He’s seriously hot, and I am here for all of it.

“You need to stop looking at me like that, or else we won’t be making it to dinner.” Looking up to meet his eyes, I expect to see a teasing, sly smirk on his lips. Instead, they’re full of hunger. Lips pursed, he clutches his hands at his sides. As though every muscle in his body aches to touch me.

Fuck, this man makes my panties instantly wet. How am I supposed to sit across from him all night without climbing on top of him or dragging him to the bathroom for a quick hard fuck between courses? An idea pops into my head, and I give him a mischievous smirk.

“I’m not sure if that look should scare or turn me the fuck on because right now, it’s doing a little bit of both.”

“Oh, definitely both.” I raise on my tiptoes, kissing his cheek. Allowing my lips to linger for a moment before stepping away. I close the door behind me and stride down the hall, adding a little extra sway to each step. He mutters a curse before his footsteps echo behind me—his long strides allowing him to catch up effortlessly.

“You’re going to be the death of me, woman.” He chuckles, wrapping an arm around my waist, drawing me into his body.

“You have no idea.” I look up at him through my lashes, a sly grin playing on my lips. He just shakes his head, bending to kiss the top of my head.

We walk silently through the hall, and I relax into the feeling of his body next to mine. I don’t even realize where we’re going until he leads me out the large double doors at the school’s entrance. I look up at him, cocking my eyebrow in a silent question.

“There really isn’t any private place here, so I figured I’d take you to one of my favorite restaurants in the human world. Unless you want to have dinner in the dining hall.”

He chuckles at the face I make. Nope, I definitely do not want to have our first date in a crowded cafeteria.

“That sounds perfect.” I smile back, following him down the cobblestone pathway. Had it really only been two weeks since we first walked this path? Two weeks since my life was completely turned upside down. He meets my gaze, understanding lighting in his crystal blue eyes. He rubs his hand along my waist in a comforting gesture.

I look down at my shoes, his eyes following mine. “Don’t worry, I won’t make you walk in the grass this time,” He comes to a stop a few steps later.

“If you could dissipate from the path, why did you drop me in the middle of the grass the last time?” I cross my arms and step away from him. Those really were my favorite shoes, which I will never see again, thanks to him. He shakes his head in amusement, obviously thinking that was a joke. It was not. I narrow my eyes in a glare, which he conveniently ignores.

Winking at me, he walks forward and wraps an arm around my waist. Cutting off my sound of protest by saying, “Hold on.”

I grumble in protest before I feel the telltale signs that my body is about to dissipate. I clutch his jacket, and he wraps his arms tightly around my waist, crushing my body against his. The sly bastard is taking advantage of the situation as best he can. His lips lower, nipping my ear, eliciting a squeak but distracting me from the feeling of my body coming apart.

Before I fully register what is happening, the landscape changes. Gone is the lush greenery and stone of the academy, replaced by more cobblestone and stone buildings. I blink, not wholly convinced he actually transported us to the mortal realm.

That is until he laces his fingers with mine, leading me out of the alley we landed in. My eyes light in recognition as we move up the cobblestone streets of Santorini. The narrow roads slope up in a steep incline. Markets and vendors line the small passages, shouting to the tourists passing by in an attempt to gain their business.

We make it to the top of the hill, and the view over the waist-high stone wall takes my breath away. The water is a striking crystal blue, and buildings and stores are built into the island’s steep incline. Their turquoise roofs draw the eye almost as much as the crystal sea beyond.

“It’s beautiful,” I whisper, and Adrian wraps his arms around my waist from behind, pulling me back to lean against his firm chest.

“Almost as beautiful as you are,” he whispers back, his lips brushing against my ear. “Have you been here before?”

I nod my head in response, my hair brushing against his chest with the movement. “Yes, but I swear, its beauty never ceases to amaze me.” I feel the brush of his nod against my skin, his head nestled into the crook of my neck.

“I feel the same way,” he murmurs against my skin, his lips brushing soft kisses up the curve of my neck. For some reason, I doubt he’s talking about the landscape.

His hands slide up, one holding my upper arms, his thumb stroking the skin there tenderly. The other moves up my torso, sliding up my ribs to rest just below my breast, his fingers tease small circles on the bare skin there, just under the hem of my crop top.

I relax back into his touch, idly aware of the tourists traipsing by us. Surprisingly they appear unbothered by our very public display.

“They can’t see us,” he whispers in my ear before his lips clamp onto my earlobe, teasing the sensitive flesh there. Goosebumps rise on my skin at the mix of pleasure and the thrill of the implied exhibitionism.

The fact that so many people crowd around us, yet are oblivious to the sensual way Adrian is touching me turns me on even more. It’s exciting that all it would take is for Adrian to lose concentration, and the crowds around us would be able to see every touch, every kiss.

“We should head to the restaurant before we both change our minds, and I take us back.” He moves his lips from my skin and the loss of their caressing touch almost pulls a whine of protest from my lips. My almost slip causes me to nod in agreement. It’s definitely way too early to head home, especially since I still have a plan up my sleeve.

He places a hand on the small of my back, leading me towards an open-air restaurant at the top of the hill. The view is just as spectacular from this vantage point.
