We stay out at the “beach” for a little while, talking about lots of different things. I’m surprised they wanted to know about my coding hobby. They all found it fascinating that I wanted to make a dating app.
I blushed at their compliments.
I wave as the others drive off and Hunter helps me into the car.
“Thank you for tonight,” I tell him.
“Thank you for getting in my car.”
“I still don’t know what to think about this,” I reply.
“We just wanted to show you that there are people that want to be seen with you.”
“This isn’t being seen,” I point out.
“I get that, but I also know you and we know you don’t like material things. You’re simple, and we like that.”
He grins when I’m sure I blush at his words. I can feel heat creep across my cheeks.
“Someone will pick you up at four. It’s an early game.”
“Thank you, Hunter,” I say, leaning in and giving him another kiss.
