Angelo, the leader of Platinum Shores, smacks his hands on his desk. “Like fucking hell—”

“Meeting adjourned,” another leader says, cutting him off.

One by one, the video calls disconnect until I stare at Angelo, refusing to disconnect first. I’d love to hear his threats and all the ways he plans to destroy my kingdom. Narrowing his eyes, he glowers at me in silence. Enzo shifts closer, backing me up even though miles of distance stand between us and the douche. He would throw the first punch if we were having a meeting in person.

“You heard your region head. He stands beside me in taking your kingdom. I should do it. I mean, I really should fucking do it, but I’ll give you a day to pay for all damages and to resign as the leader of your territory. You may offer it to another alpha in your pack or one of your allies.” I tap my fingers to the desk, watching his anger morph into fury. Most Alphas would rather die than submit to another, which makes this even more satisfying. I already had my father beg for his life, and I plan for Angelo to do the same.

“You’re a dead man, Wilder.” Angelo sits up straighter.

“Tell that to your pack. Your falling members are proof otherwise. How are they, anyway? You should be grateful that I returned them.” I don’t see the bodies, but I know they would be nearby. At the least, they’d be in the same building until they’re properly put to rest.

Angelo bares his teeth. “You fucker!”

Latching his fingers to my shoulder, Enzo bends over me, glaring at the camera. “I’m tired of waiting, brother. It’s time we do it. Now.”

A smile crosses my face. “As you wish, Enzo. Pull up our spy feed. I want to record this from another angle just for Kinsey. She will sleep better knowing we have taken care of Angelo completely.”

Realization smooths Angelo’s features, his sharp anger morphing into shock and then fear. Enzo clicks on the feed, cutting off Angelo while shifting the view to his office. I was right about the bodies being close. They remain on view for his pack members to visit. And he chose the wrong place to have his meeting.

“Wait. We can—” The camera shakes as a loud boom sounds through the speaker a second before a bright light devours Angelo.

The bombs we planted inside his pack members detonate, and the camera cuts off completely. They’ll have at least destroyed his palace, and unfortunately, his pack now will suffer for his actions.

Enzo sighs a breath beside me. “I want Platinum Shores. Their authority was so fucked up. It’ll be a lot of work, but I want to change things there. I want to prove ourselves immediately. We can announce it at the coronation. I will take the king persona.”

I roll back in my chair, swiveling to face him as he kneels beside me. We both know that Arsenio would be the next one to take a territory. But right now, I don’t want to argue with him. I know he’s really pissed off about our father and our decision to keep him alive.

I’m angry with myself, but I know it needed to be done. And we can’t just annihilate him yet. It would bring suspicion to us, especially now that we have attacked Platinum Shores.

“How about you sleep on it, little brother? It’s a lot of work, and Kinsey might not want to go there all the time after everything. We should talk to everyone else first.” I remain expressionless, bracing myself for him to react. Surprisingly, he doesn’t blow up at me and instead only pats my cheek, trying to fuck with me by leaving his scent behind.

“Goddamn it. There’s no way I want to ever be away from Kinsey. I was too caught up with my anger to think about it. I know she’s not going to want to leave our home here.” Enzo uses my desk to pull himself to his feet. “I want to make the announcement. Are you cool with that?”

I stretch my arms over my head and nod. “Absolutely. I have a couple things I must do before we have the ball to announce our reign.”

The last thing I want is for Enzo to follow me to the medical center, where our father remains under the watch of one doctor, our aunt and cousin. He could use a break anyway. I know he feels like shit knowing that because of his order, he can’t exactly do what the rest of us can regarding the Pack Regimes.

Enzo’s eyes darken, and he doesn’t move right away. “If it includes killing our father—”

“You’d be the first one in line. Promise.” I scratch my fingers through his hair, ruffling the strands. He’s not the only one who can scent shit around here, and he’ll regret messing with me when all Kinsey can smell is my fragrance over his.

He swats me. “Thanks, big brother. I know how much you have struggled with being first in line. I hope you know that allowing me the pleasure will be even sweeter, because my betrayal runs deeper. He never expected this from me. I can’t wait to fucking see him be put to rest.”

Damn. Enzo has a darker side than I realized. I knew he was good about closing himself off when it came to doing what we had to do to control our enemies, but this is a bit more unexpected. It has to do with Kinsey and the fact that we all know her heat is coming. It makes us all a bit more aggressive. But it will be worse for him. He’s far more possessive because of where he lands in our pack. He feels he must prove himself because he’s younger.

I just hope he doesn’t mess things up.

“I’ll tell Kinsey that you asked me to fuck her on your behalf. She’ll be so exhausted that you’ll just get to cuddle the hell out of her. It’ll serve you right for screwing her on my bed.” Enzo grins with his words, probably thinking of a million ways to get back at me.

“Whatever makes you feel better. Now hustle your ass. I want everything handled by tonight.” I shove him playfully, making him swing at me. I duck, and he misses only to have me shove him again.

Instead of trying to retaliate, Enzo laughs and jogs away, beating me to the door. I act as if I’m going to sit at my desk to handle mundane paperwork until I hear him head upstairs.

I should feel bad about keeping this visit to our father a secret, but I want to save my brothers the pain of having to face him over and over again. He was supposed to love us. He was supposed to help us grow and turn us into respectable men instead of trying to break us at his will to turn us just like him. And for that, I want him to know he will pay. He will suffer until his last breath.

Pulling out my phone, I tap on Arsenio’s name and shoot him a text.

Me: I’m heading to the medical center now. Why don’t you meet up with Enzo and Desmond and take Kinsey out for a bit?
