"Theo," I said again, reaching for him, trying to clear the fog from my brain even as my nerve endings sang with pleasure. "I'm here, I—"

I felt Luca's arms around me, lifting me to straddle his lap, and as I rose, I wrapped one arm around Theo's neck and brought his lips to mine. He groaned against my mouth, low and desperate, his hand coming to my waist to steady me. Luca was gripping my hips, pulling me closer, and the feeling of him swollen within me as Theo's lips roamed over my throat was almost too much to bear.

There was no doubt, now, that Lilin was within me, that her fervor for Abigor fueled the movement of my body against Luca's. But it was mine, too: for Luca, for Theo, and even, as I gazed over Theo's head, for Julian, who watched us with handfuls of soil and eyes that burned as brightly as the fire.

"Stay with me," Theo moaned into the nape of my neck, and let out a shuddering breath as I reached back to fumble with his belt. Suddenly desperate to feel him, I tore at the fabric until he helped me, shoving his pants out of the way and letting me wrap one hand around him. His skin was silk against my palm. He thrust against me and I felt the scrape of his teeth at my shoulder, carnal and raw, so like Luca that I gasped.

"River," Luca gritted out.

I met his eyes, still red-ringed green, and saw the strain on his face as he struggled to maintain control. His fingers on my hips clutched tight enough to hurt.

"She's here," I whispered, almost a whimper as waves of pleasure coursed over me. "I can feel her. She's here."

Theo's voice in my ear, his hands on my waist, his chest hot against my back. "You're here, unicorn."

"Don't let me go," I moaned. "Theo—"

His hands tightened, one sliding up my ribs to cup my breast. "Never."

My desire split, doubled, twined around first Theo and then Luca. My skin burned; my very nerves were alight. I rocked against Luca, feeling Theo hardening as his breath came faster. I arched as the sensation grew, my free hand coming up to wrap around the back of Theo's neck, and with a high keening cry I was lost and there was nothing but heat and light and the blaze of the fire, exploding in a riot of colors, and—

"Prodire!" Julian's booming voice seemed to fill every corner of the cavern. "Lilin, come forward now!"

Wave upon wave of ecstasy, engulfing me. Luca writhed beneath me, groaning out his own release, Theo pulsed at my back, gasping against my hair, but I was beyond comprehension, beyond anything but the vast fiery expanse of my own pleasure. I was shaking apart—I was undone, my body unraveling, and I—

Darkness.

No, not darkness. Not this time.

I was still here.

I blinked, my eyes watering, straining to see something beyond burning white light. I could feel Luca beneath me, shifting; his breathing was fast and shallow. Theo was clutching me, his arms wrapped so tightly around me that it was almost painful. But my vision was entirely gone.

"Oh God," I heard Theo say. "What happened?"

Luca was more than shifting now—he was pulling away, sliding out from under me, and a second later, he was gone.

"Luca?" I reached blindly, grasping. Theo's arms vanished, and for a moment I clenched with fear, but then I felt fabric against my skin. He had found my dress, somehow, and was slipping it over my head.

"I can't see," I said, twisting in his arms. I looked down—I couldn't even make out my own hands just inches from my face. All I saw was white, and white, and white.

"Me neither." There was tension in his voice. "Julian?"

Julian's low rumble from somewhere to our right: "I'm here."

"What the fuck is going on?" Theo demanded. He rose to his knees, trying to pull me to my feet, but my legs wouldn't comply.

"Don't." I clutched at him. "Theo, don't move. Don't get up. Don't do anything."

"Why not?"

I scrubbed my sightless eyes with the heels of my hands. "Because," I whispered. "I can't feel her anymore."

Theo froze. "What do you mean?"

But I didn't get a chance to answer, because at that moment, Luca let out a howl.
