“Be careful with him.” Destiny lifted her tablet again and tapped the screen. “I’m sending you a database of potential matches for your perusal. But you’re having lunch with Scott Farnsworth this week.”

“The fire chief? I thought he was in a relationship.”

“No longer.” Destiny waved her hand as if swatting a fly. “He’s a Virgo, which isn’t your Juno sign, but Pisces and Virgos generally have a high sexual compatibility, so there’s that.”

Bee wondered what the stars would say about her sexual compatibility with Adam. Her body had already announced loud and clear that it was likely to be more than “high”—it would be in another stratosphere.

“What’s a Juno sign?” she asked.

“Juno was the Roman goddess of marriage, childbirth, and a woman’s home life.” Destiny swiped to another screen on her tablet. “She is represented by an asteroid. So whatever sign Juno was traveling through on your birth date is the sign of your soul mate. Your Juno sign is Capricorn.”

“So why are you setting me up with Scott if he’s a Virgo?”

“Honey Bee.” Destiny slipped her tablet back into her bag. “Scott is adorable, his energy is positive and clear, and if you haven’t noticed his biceps by now, then I might have to put you in myHopeless Casesfile.”

“I’ve noticed,” Bee assured her, which was the truth. The trouble was that while she liked Scott Farnsworth, she didn’t much care about his biceps or his energy, no matter how big or positive.

“Good. He’ll call you to set it up. And remember…” Destiny leaned closer, slanting another narrow-eyed look at Adam. “Don’t let that man touch your frequencies.”

Too late, Bee thought.
