Her sincere words and the complete faith and trust in those sweet emerald eyes made my chest tighten.
“I promise I’ll protect you with my life, Lily. You are my world. I love you,” I said, finally saying the words that I truly felt. My heart skipped a beat as her smile only widened, those eyes dancing with love and joy.
