Igroaned as I rolled over, my body aching after last night. I peered over at the body beside me, finding Bug sitting up against the headrest as he read a new book. Chumley must’ve left at some point during the night.

Why couldn’t they sleep too? Just once I’d want to fall asleep and wake up in their arms, but it had never happened. At least one of them was nearly always in the room with me though.

My protectors, always keeping an eye out.

“How’d you sleep?” Bug asked as he noticed my one eye gazing up at him groggily.

“Good,” I murmured, smiling softly to myself as I pulled the blanket up under my chin.

I’d slept like a baby. The first time since the whole Charlie thing. I’d had nightmares after that, but last night had been a dream of me running with my hellhounds. I’d been content in it too.

I sighed, scrunching my nose up as the obvious stench of sex.

Crap.

My face reddened, and Bug gave me a lopsided smile.

“How was it with Chumley?” he asked, and I groaned as I pulled the blanket up over my head. He’d said it so casually, like it didn’t bother him in the slightest. My hellhounds were bizarre.

My heart fluttered as I sucked in a breath, knowing hiding was futile.

“This whole sharing thing is weird. It’s not normal, y’know,” I said as I tugged the blanket down so it rested under my chin as I stared at him.

“We’re hellhounds, we don’t know what normal is. This feels right though,” Bug stated as he stuck his bookmark in and set the book down beside him.

“I guess that’s good,” I murmured as he clasped his hands over his lap, his legs outstretched on the bed beside me.

“So, how was it?” he repeated his initial question, and I sighed.

“Good, he was careful with me. And sweet,” I said, unable to keep the smile from spreading as my heart fluttered. I bit my lip as I recalled how he’d gone down on me. Nowthathad been fun.

“Good. I’m glad,” Bug said, those dark eyes tender as he gazed at me.

“Still can’t believe you guys don’t get jealous,” I mumbled.

“Get used to it. We’re like brothers, and your happiness comes first. I don’t think we could get jealous of one another,” he said with a shrug.

I just blew a raspberry, still struggling to accept their easiness with it.

“Has Dezikiel come back yet?” I asked as I rolled over to check my phone for the time, pushing past my unease. I hadn’t missed breakfast, thank God.

“Not yet,” Bug answered as he turned his head to the door.

Jack entered the room, his charming smile only growing as he sniffed the air.

He legit sniffed it, and I groaned as I flopped my head back on my pillow.

“So, Chumley too, huh?” Jack remarked, his voice ringing with delight.

“He was sweet apparently,” Bug added, and I pulled the blanket over my head with a groan. This was too weird.

“Good. He told me he gave you oral. Did you like that? Should we do that too?” Jack asked.

“What?! No!” My face burned under the blanket, and Jack snorted.

“You didn’t like it?” he asked, and I groaned.
