Despite being turned on by her, I didn’t make a move. I wanted her to trust me.
“I would like that,” she said with a shy smile, “to see more of Ocenum I mean. Not to see the machine thing again. I see dreams about the ship. Every so often I wake up scared that the voices I heard are going to start looking for me.”
“Next time you wake up scared,” I move my right hand from her thigh to her waist, “come wake me up.”
“You are already doing so much for me.”
“Maybe, maybe not. No one should be alone and scared,” I murmur while moving hands lazily on her body, enjoying the curves and seeing her breath in quicker.
Her eyes were on my lips as she spoke, “have you ever been alone and scared?”
I could have lied and said no, to appear more strong. “Yes,” even as I spoke, her eyes were on my lips, her fingers digging into my shoulders, “my team is special.Important peoplehad wanted a team that would be able to protect them from everything, so a doctor did it. I don’t remember much from my childhood, probably because my memory was erased. I often was locked inside a cage alone. It smelled horrible there. Only interaction I had was with the doctor as he came inside to inject with something new. On rare occasions he had other people with him. They beat me up till I was sure I was going to die right there.”
Tears fell from her eyes as she listened to me.
“Don’t cry for me, Kel-sey,” I lift my hand from her thigh to wipe tears from her face, “most of my team went through something similar. A lot of blood everywhere. It went on until we became what we are now. Team who can take down entire populations with no help.”
“No one tried to save you?”
“Can’t save something you don’t know is existing,” smile on my lips was bittersweet, “I would go through it all again if it means I will meet my team. And you.”
Her hands move from my shoulder around my neck. She called it a hug. I liked feeling her body pressed against mine. I moved my hands around her body, pressing her tightly against my chest.
“You must have been so scared when it all happened to you.”
“I don’t remember,” I confessed.
“Thank you for telling me,” her lips landed on my cheek.
Not saying anything afterwards I enjoyed her warmth against my body. She was soft and loving.
Kelsey also made no attempts to start a conversation.
In a short amount of time she had become everything to me. Gaining her trust was going to take time, I had fucked up by not giving her the trust she had needed so it was now my turn to prove to her I was going to be everything she would need.
I intended to keep her safe no matter what, just like I planned to keep the promise I had made herself. I wasn’t going to rest until I had found other females.
Soon after I heard her deepened breaths on my neck as her body relaxed on top of me. She was sleeping. Carefully I turned to my side on the sleeping pod, so she would be able to sleep on something more comfortable than my body.
How had I dreamed about falling asleep while holding onto her body. “I will protect you.”

Sweat covering my body I opened my eyes. I heard Kahma’s even breathing next to me, his arm had sneaked underneath my shirt as he was holding onto me in his sleep. His breath touched the back of my neck.
Trying to focus on his breathing I closed my eyes, hoping I would be able to fall asleep
Hard to fall asleep next to the man who was the hero of your dreams. He didn’t touch me as he had promised, yet I dreamed his arms around me as he was moving faster and harder inside of me while whispering dirty words to my ear.
He moved in his sleep. Kahma’s hand moved slightly on my burning skin, his leg pushed in between mine. His touch burned like a promise on me.
“What’s wrong?” his voice was deep, sounding a lot more sexy as he was still sleepy.
“Nothing, go back to sleep,” I whispered while removing his hand from me.
I needed a release, my body was too worked up to go back to sleep. Only way to fix it was to pleasure myself and hopefully sneak back between his arms.
“Come back,” Kahma’s voice sounded heartbroken as I felt his arm on my wrist.
